    If somebody I loved died because of my stupidity, I'd probably have to be locked up on suicide watch. I don't know if I could live with that.

    I don't know JR, but everything I read so far suggests that there was some negligence on his part, to put it mildly.

    Furthermore, I've learned from dealing with certain people in my line of work (and others before it) that some people just lack a conscious, period. Some people live in a mental state that allows them to look past any 'suffering' that goes on around them and just focus on the 'objective', whatever that may be (e.g. getting rich at all costs, getting a certain job, achieving a certain objective).

    I've known a handful of individuals that fit the bill, and it's more common than you think. In some occupations, it becomes almost a necessity, sort of a 'survival' skill.
