This thread will do In case nobody listens to the Bottom Line on ESPN radi... Calvin Murphy announced he's going to have his own ESPN radioshow
Count me in as one who never listens to the "Bottom Line". I can barely stand to hear Jerome Solomon speak. He is one of the most irritating radio hosts I've ever listened to. I tried it again for about 5 minutes a couple of weeks ago and the guy is beyond awful. Very bad choice by 97.5. I wish Calvin Murphy well.
i read this in the chronicle. it said he's also going to do a pre and post game show during the rockets season. i'm guessing on this station as well.
I definitely agree. He just says stuff to be controversial, and that combo with Jorge Vargas is horrible. They both think they're too cool for school.
http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/5004258.html New name for 1560 AM Much to the chagrin of its owner, Houston businessman David Gow, KILE (1560 AM) will become KGOW when it signs on Aug. 20 with a sports/entertainment talk format. The new call letters were the idea of station manager Richard Topper, and Gow, reluctantly, acceded. The station will be branded as "The Game," so Topper said KGOW "is more of a business application than a listener application." Besides its previously announced hosts, Gow and Topper said the station will air the Don and Mike Show from 6 to 10 p.m. and the Sports Byline network overnight. Topper also said the station will have a roundtable show weekend mornings and local shows from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. David Nuno, a graduate of Alief Hastings and Texas A&M who now works for KXXV (Ch. 25) in Waco, will handle some weekend duties.
