My wife recently looked at the state comptroller's website and found out that she has an unclaimed $1010.00 from Texas A&M. It had something to do with their AggieBuck system, nonetheless, she called and claimed the money and it should get here in a couple of business days. You can check out the link and see if you are owed anything. Good luck.
Reminds me of that Bennigans commercial ( I think) when this dude finds 20 bucks in his pocket. It shows him the life of the party afterwards when he is celebrating at the restaurant.
it reminds me of the simpsons episode when bart and mihouse find 10 bucks and buy the squishy thats made entirely out of syrup....then bart joins the junior campers. classic ep.
I did this about 3 months ago and found that I was owed $75. I filled out the paperwork and sent it in along with a copy of my license. I didn't send anything to prove I used to live at the address that was on file for the refund. I got my check last week.
I found $79 on the California comptroller's website from an insurance policy I had when I lived in Santa Monica in 1996-98. Just downloaded and filled out the forms. Going to call my old bank out there when they open later this morning to see if they can FAX me a copy of a bank statement from my old account. Thanks for turning me on to this!
Neither the power company, phone company or bank I used when I lived in Santa Monica can provide me with a statement that verifies my address back then. I'm going to send it in anyway. Hopefully I will be as lucky as Harrisment.
I check out the site, and it had unclaimed money for a W. Linder from the Department of Human Services in 2003. Well, I worked for a friend moving office furniture for the Department of Human Services in Lufkin, so I asked for details. There is a W. Linder that the state owes $0.01. Still no clue whether it's me or not.
I have a nice chunk of change coming my way, as soon as I send in my claim form. Thanks for posting this.
