Webster will be fine. They still have the mall and everything around it. They are one of the richest cities in the US. (considering there aint much else there)

If my mom didn't live in the suburbs, 99.9% of my Houston travel would be bound by Waugh, Richmond, and 59.

heh...we can call it the "codell option"

hey, I wonder.....since I have longhorn steer pastures less than a minute away from my house, do I technically live in the country? ;)

    I'm very, very jealous.

But I live in Houston. I am a slave to the automobile.

Baytown is too industrial too be considered "country"

We have to drive 20-25 mins to shop. That should be a a criteria. :)

Outside the loops pretty nice (290/fairfield). Because... "others" haven't moved out and... ahh.... how you say... corrupted it?

No, trust me, that's a big part of the reason why I moved here. The four-plex I'm moving into is kind of a ****hole but I just couldn't subject myself to massive apartment complex living again. Neighborhood+City=Finally. Plus my landlord asked if I wanted to buy some weed. :D

I think the housing going up in the area is pretty crappy, myself. There are some really, really nice restored houses in the neighborhood that look great. The trendy aluminum lofts/townhomes look cheap and out of place, plus the rent is laughably high. No biggie to me, though, I can walk anywhere I need to go! Some great restaurants and bars in walking distance.

The gayness is... noticeable, let's say. But at the end of the day, I really just don't care.

I think I've got the best option. I don't live or work in Houston or the 'burbs, but still close enough to make it to the Toyota Center after work and home again by midnight.

I used to live in Rice Military, and the burbs sucked ass. I loved the inner loop.

However now I live in Manhattan, which trumps Houston in general. (Sorry)

none of the above, as there is a world outside the burbs and greater Houston metropolis area...

but when I was in H-town it was the Burbs..

    Austin
    NYC
    LA

I grew up all over houston. (Mom couldn't hold a job in the 70s and changed appts every 6 months).

Went to Highschool in Katy (KHS 87)

Then lived in the montrose and then purchased first home in the Heights.

Moved to Cypress when kids reached school age.

Other than the traffic on 290 and not being able to go to Ninfas on Navigation once a week I like Cypress.

I work at 20 Greenway plaza.
