I'm going to assume that most people here are console gamers instead of pc... but I was a hugeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee fan of return to castle wolfenstein: enemy territory (rtcw:et), so I've been waiting forever for the sequel. then when they announced enemy territory: quake wars (qw) the spiritual successor I've been on pens and needles. then the usual id development cycle entered..."due fall 06" became..."due spring 07"...became "due summer 07"...became "june 07...july 07...now august 07...(I predict september at the earliest). anywhoooooo, the beta just was announced this week and I'm freaking excited. so excited, I signed up for a fileplanet account for 1 year (39.95) to play the game a couple days early. anyone else been following this game? you can sign up for the deal I did here: fileplanet quake wars promo
Now that I'm done with school (forever), I finally have time to play PC games again. Hooray! And I'm totally stoked for ET: Quake Wars (as well as Huxley). Should be a good one. Until it's released, I'll be brushing up on my FPS skillz with Battlefield 2. (Most times, I'll be on Strike at Karkand infantry-only servers.)
battlefield is terrible, though I know qw will be similar, I'm hoping for more close up fights (I play a lot of css). yeah, huxley looks pretty nice, I don't know how they're going to allow for those kind of graphics with the amount of players required in an mmo though.
BF2 isn't terrible. It's not great, but it is a lot of fun. I mainly play Counter Strike Source, Age Of Empires 2, BF2, sometimes Call of Duty 2 (it's crap), and Flight Simulator X. Hit me up on xfire sometime if you have it. our forums which are going through some changes with a new site etc. is in my signature. It's a gaming community. I'm redoing our forums at the moment, they are up though.
