Bobcats have the 8th pick, Celtics the 5th. A whole lot of 3 + 4's in Noah, Brewer, Yi, and Green that could be selected.

If both teams do select another 3/4...

    Boston have
    3.Pierce, Green,
    4.Jefferson, Powe

Green started to put some consistent numbers at the end and Powe showed that he can put up some nice numbers near the end of the season.

    Bobcats have
    3.Morrison, Wallace (possible free agent)
    4. Emeka, May

There's talk of moving Morrison to the 3 cause he's too slow for SG and they could re-sign Wallace if he opts out then again he doesn't opt out at all.

Eton Thomas would give us the defense and the rebounding to free up Battier to wreak havoc on both ends. The thing is I just don't see them letting him go very easily.

Darko Milicic - very high pick.....young with plenty of upside. It's my contention that our situation combined with his improved play of late would make him flourish. It's a feast or famine deal though. If it was done and worked out it would be an insane steal of a deal.

I definitely would like to see Ron Ron suit up for us but I honestly believe Spanoulis is going to turn into a topflight PG.So I have mixed emotions.
I would do the deal, but we might be mortaging a large piece of our future.

I have advocated picking up PJ and still do,but it must be to augment someone else.

The guy I want though is Jamaal Magloire.Maybe it's a pipedream, but why not?

I like your suggestions particularly Hermann. But I'm confused about Hermann "expiring with no Bird Rights". The Bobcats have a 2nd season team option for $1.9m. They almost certainly will take the option. So if as you suggest they may be overloaded at that position they may be inclined to trade Hermann and the receiving team would have Early Bird Rights next summer.

If the Bobcats don't take the option, he becomes unrestricted. He'd be a candidate for MLE $.

How about RFA Lawrence Roberts who played for Memphis last year or Cedric Simmons from New Orleans, he played really well for them but they already have David West, Hilton Armstrong and Tyson Chandler. In Memphis they have more than just Lawrence Roberts how about Alexander Johnston who played really well in stretches for them or Hakim Warwick. These guys are good and are available for less than the cost of Darko Milicic.

One more thing Luther Head will probably be the trade bait for any of the big men we get and the Rockets will be willing to get rid of him because they will replace him with a taller version of him named Ron Lewis from Ohio State University ;) via trade.

I misread a part on the Larry Coon's site that stated "excluding any option year" re: EB rights.

Cool...excellent suggestions. Morey has got to be familiar with Gomes from his Celtics days. If Hayes is on the team, the best PF to rotate with him is an "anti-Chuck"...someone who can play some defense but score. That's definitely Hermann.

Why I find Hermann intruiging is that IMO the Bobcats had absolutety NO continuity on offense...NO identity whatsoever...a post up team...a run and gun...lockdown D with great transition...motion and ball movement...How about "none of the above". No continuity and Hermann still managed to score a bit. Very interesting.

Our Pf does'nt have to be the scorer. He should ba a guy who would rebound the lose balls and dunk it or something like that. We need a solid PF not a star. Just a smart guy

Other: Someone who throws down nastys and can block shots when Yao's turned around or out of range.

    or Horry.
