Yes, actually he HAS said he wants to retire soon. And YES, he is 'injured' with a chronic degenerative condition.

Soem of you guys are kiddin' me. Yes Tracy said he will retire after yhis season and he's so injured. I hate T-Mac haters. I know you remember time when SF was here and you were upset because of Tracy's trade. I know a lot of guys here hate Tracy.

I have respect for al users on this forum cause we are al Rockets' fans. But when you are sayin' things like that I can just think you're probably stupid. Please end that all topics abut haw bad is Tracy and that he is bad he is injured and he wants to retire.

T-Mac means a lot for Houston and if you don;t belive just look at the record when T-Mac was out and Yao was in and look at the record when Yao was out and Tracy was in.

T-Mac REITRES RIGHT NOW. I heard he won't play next season here cause he wanted to retire now.

ANd I have to add something. That was time when there was probably about 3 threads about T-Mac's trades. Than it stopped and now it starts again. Gyus be serious. That's not about what do you want. That's about what can happen that's not Nba Live. You know Tracy's not goin' anywhere so please chill out!

I never heard him say that, give me a link. And besides that, soon could mean anything. And no, as long as he keeps seeing that specialist his back will be fine.

ask ur self this, if a team was built around yao where he is the sole all-star, would that team make the playoffs?

kobe and tmac have shown they can get them to the playoffs at least.

u think yao can do that? if he had marginal talent w/ him? i dont think so. in fact, that team would have a very bad record as we've seen. he'll put up #s though

you guys keep saying the lakers dont want tmac. well, supposidly kobe is about to be traded to bulls for deng/gordon.....why would the LA crowd perfer to see deng and gordon instead of tmac? yes tmac has had back issues but they are cleared up now, and the second half of the season he played better than kobe...theres some kind of formula of stats that proves a players worth to a team and tmac came out number 1 last year....

so,ask yourself this..would you trade tmac for deng/gordon? my guess is most of you would say NO...so why should the laker fans perfer deng/gordon over tmac if you guys wouldnt do it?

so , by using your own logic ,the lakers SHOULD trade kobe for tmac..also tmac is a STAR deng isnt...

it makes sense...the ONLY reason it wont happen is cuz kobe will NOT accept it...he wants to play in a bigger market...he wants to play for a city that actually has sellouts..he wants a easy ride to the finals in the east

also, phil jackson probably would rather have tmac than deng cuz he always has that "star"

there's a reason he didn't mention houston on his wist list. our sucky role players and he can't let yao take 18-20 shots, esp. if he turns it over 8-9 times.

i agree, he did say he would retire AFTER HE FINISHES HIS CONTRACT earlier this season when his back bothered him a lot.

that would still be 3 yrs. and that WAS BEFORE patterson.

    See double's post.

Besides that, how does not hearing someone say they want to retire after this year make me dumb. Especially when he didn't say it.

And I'm glad to see you figured out how to spell "dumb".

That a 27 year old player would even talk about RETIREMENT tells you something about T-Mac. wake up. Since you were sleeping when it happened, T-Mac was WHINING and talked of retirement. No, not at the end of the contract. Just Retiring. He left it unspecified. He said other things also, like him being an "old man". LOL. He is a drama Queen for sure.

And I was being pretentious when I spelled dummest, dummy. ;)

You are making a big deal about Tmac saying that when he was hurt and before he found relief in Patterson. If he was in retirement mode, why would he have taken the playoff loss so hard.

More importantly, Kobe said he would rather play on Pluto. Why should we trade Tmac for a guy who wishes he was playing on another planet. I mean, he couldnt have been overreacting during an emotional time like Tmac might have been doing when he said what he said.

Even though I don't really want Kobe that badly or to shake things up that much, I would much rather trade Yao for Kobe than McGrady for Kobe if it came down to it.

Even if the Lakers went for the trade, don't do it. Kobe is the anti-T-Mac. Superior player with an assassin's heart, but a complete dick. Rockets need a strong leader, not a jerk.

T-Mac saying he wants to retire is to be taken seriously because he had a medical condition.

Kobe saying he wants to play on Pluto is NOT to be taken seriously, because anyone with a brain knows he was kidding. ;)

i love yao and all, but has he proven he can carry a team BY HIMSELF? at least to the playoffs.

lakers still want to win and by trading kobe for yao, u have yao/odom as the mainstay. that team literally will be one of the worst 3 teams in the west. yao may bring the business, but winning is before anything.

wow, do u know what standard tracy has for himself? did u see how he played the first 2 months of the season? we all thought he was horrible and sucked. and he did suck like a pathetic player.

tmac has pride. and if he's not gonna find good treatment, i believe he would retire. that back was gonna act up anytime.

now that he has found patterson, it seems like he's not gonna retire anytime soon. he's optimistic.

it's a natural reaction by a human being. again, fans like u who hate him may use that to say he doesn't have the passion and all that.

it's fine actually. and i do agree he's a drama queen. but if u wanna talk about a whiner and a drama queen, bring up kobe please.

he's the WORST drama queen and an attention hog. if he goes to the rockets, the spotlight will be on him rather than the organization, the fans, and the city of houston.

there's a reason more and more laker fans WANT him to be traded now. there's no turning back. even true kobe fans are embarrassed of the display kobe has put on.

so if ur gonna diss tmac for being a whiner and drama queen, and u want to get another one in return, please, u must not know jack. and esp. a guy who wants to be bigger than the team. for a fan of yao whos not getting enough respect, having kobe on the same team will earn yao less "individual' respect since he won't be getting any attention at all.

I am a fan of Yao but I want to win more. :)

Kobe + Yao = 2 championships or more.

T-Mac + Yao = can't get out of first round.

Listen, T-Mac had plenty of garbage in Orlando. It's not like he's loved there, man. He's booed everytime, and think about it, they traded T-Mac for SF, Mobley, and Cato. What does that say about T-Mac?

Now, 3 years later, we understand why T-Mac was criticized by the Orlando management, and fans. He IS a whiner, and a loser.

Kobe has garbage too, but he is not a winner. I'd take a guy who can win than a guy who has never won.
