The Louisiana House recently passed a law forbidding teach-student sex if the student is 17 years old. it passed 93-5. I wonder who the 5 reps are and how long before they will be showing up on to Catch a Predator. http://www.ktbs.com/viewnews.cfm?news_id=2234&title=Bill would criminalize all teacher-student sex
maybe they wanted the age to be 18. maybe age should matter, and maybe it should just be a teacher isnt allowed to have relations with any student at their school
They wouldn't be on TCAP cause it's legal in LA to have sex with a 17 year old. This law makes it illegal for educators to have sex with 17 year olds.
never heard that. looks right though. http://www.parl.gc.ca/information/library/PRBpubs/prb993-e.htm#CURRENT LAW(txt)
I remember watching something on Court TV or A&E about sexual predators and the motto of one of the persons or group was "8 is too late." Geez.
It's 17 in Texas, too. The age at which you qualify to be tried as an adult and sent to prison in any given state is the age for legal adulthood.
Since I found this on wikipedia whilst looking things up, I thought I'd share: The gray states and nations haven't made a separate ruling on "Age of Consent" - but do have a specific age at which one legally qualifies as an adult. To veer back towards the initial topic, I'd like to mention that I wouldn't have passed that bill myself. If you're legally an adult, it shouldn't legally matter who you choose to f**k.
amen... i think our government control over social issues is starting to get out of hand. haha.. Virginia's got UN violations
dam, all these years i've been looking for hot 18 year olds when i could have had 17. I actually grossed myself out there a little. I can barely talk to most girls under 22 without wanting to stab myself...cant imagine the conversation one would have with a 17 year old.
A similar mystery to the "4 out of 5 dentists surveyed recommend sugarless gum for their patients who chew gum." Who is the 5th dentist? I'm dating myself. That's a pretty old Trident commercial tag line.
I guess they need to put in one of these rules for N.C. also http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,285794,00.html
