Man, this getting dark early stuff always gets my internal clock all screwed up. It's just so wierd to see it getting dark around 6pm!
Try seeing it get dark around 3 pm, when it gets dark around 10 in the summer. That's the PNW for you.
Didn't you guys feel like you won the friggin' lottery this past Sunday? You know what? If I die before March, I win. I'll walk away with a whole friggin' extra hour bbbbbabbbbbay. Terra bop kohn ay, beeeeyotch! BTW, it does suck that it's dark here @ 5:15 now. I'll never be able to do anything after work again for several months...... oh wait, it dumps here. I'll be riding at night. Nevermind, I rock, you guys suck.
I'm the opposite we just went forward an Hour here downunder and I love day light saving all those cool things (especially sport, BBQs, beers and the beach) you can do after work in the daylight. Losing it next March doesn't bother me, who wants to head out side at 6pm when the weathers craphouse anyway, rather it be light early in the morning in winter, so the body can get started. mmmm Aussie summers...yummy and Heb you still SUCK
Man turning the clock back an hour is awesome! For the first time this semester, I actually felt kind of refreshed for class. The sun sucks anyway...the moon is much cooler...
I went to high school in Lafayette, Indiana, one of the two areas in the US (the other place is somewhere in Arizona) that doesn't recognize DST. It might be the right thing to do, but it sure feels podunk-ish. "Don't be touchin' that clock, y'all." It still sucks to deal with your parents and friends in Central time during the summer and then having to factor in Eastern time during the fall/winter. Then again, I really like to b****.
why don't we just make it one standard time around the whole world? We dont' have to figure out what time to be where, or try and add or subtract hours. Are you flying in at est/cnt/pcf. That seems more simple. Why do we have to make everything so difficult.
I think we need to make DST the standard time. So, in essence when a Sundial says its noon, like during DST, it is actually 1pm wherever you are. Screw regular standard time. I hate it being dark at 5 or 6. I would rather have be darker earlier in the day rather than later.
I hate it -- I like the summer time schedule better. When we lived in Norway, it used to be light until about 1 AM, then get mildly darker (hahaha) until about 4 AM during the summer -- it was impossible to sleep! During the Winter, it would never be light . . . it would get lighter, but you'd never see the sun.
