am i the only one who thinks that steve nash played the hit up too much. and was surprisingly quick to get up and tried to fight robert horry? he escaladed everything by acting like the hit was way more than it was. they had already had the lead and were gonna automatically get free throw. but then he has to act it up to try to draw the flagrant. ivaroni and crew didnt do a good job holding them back, dantoni didnt call a timeout, the media played it up (causing it to be seen as an incident) and brought attention to those dudes leaving the bench. im sure if it had not had that much coverage and it was wasnt played out that much they would have just ignored the fact that diaw and stoudemire left the bench. btw, stoudemire is an idiot and we could easily say any team gets robbed at any moment during the season because every game usually counts towards something and there are bs calls and suspensions all the time. the fact that he's whining AFTER the season saying, oh we would have won the championship is moronic. if they were really that much better than the spurs, they would have been able to win the 2 elimination games just like they won 60 some odd games through out the year. and no way that they would have able to cruise by the jazz. the jazz are more brutal than the spurs and they get away with more because of the history of jerry sloan. in fact, i dont even think that the suns are as good as their record is mainly because they hyped up so much by the media so they get bs calls during the season as well. anyways that's my rant on the suns.

haha and i just realize that my name is big shot bob, but i have no bias towards horry. it was a hard foul and he was punished.

How so? By enforcing a rule already in place? It's the same thing if a guy got suspended for a flagrant foul. Everyone knows the rule is there - should they not enforce it?

There is no way the nba title was tainted..the spurs were the better team, with or without amare...defense wins over offense almost all the time..its not a coincidence that the last 4 teams were all great defensive teams...suns have no chance to win a title..they can not except to run every team out the building...it might work in the regular season, but not the post season...2 straight years this has been the case

The Heat were definitely not a great defensive team.

If they get Thibodeau as assistant, I'd put my money on them.

funny, I think rockets were as close to the spurs as the suns. just a key rebound away.

Yea, I agree. It was a weird series altogether because at a lot of moments the Spurs looked like the better team and didnt allow the Suns to get going on their usual fast-break routine. And yet here they were, winning Game 4 and winning in the clutch against a team who usually doesn't choke in the final moments. I thought the Suns were going to win game 5 as well, but they just ran out of gas at the end (and they were leading most of game 5 as well sadly). We'll never know what will happen if Stoudemire and Diaw DIDN'T leave the bench.

I agree. We also had big man to counter Boozer, and so did San Antonio. I mean, if Yao and Duncan were guarding Boozer, Boozer would have been shut down for sure.

worry not, man. people thought i was r****ded when i kept saying that it didnt really matter how many games the mavs and suns won- playoffs are a whole other animal. these suns will NEVER win a title. I guarantee it. ia ttribute it to the age-old saying:
"offense sells tickets, defense wins championships."

ive always strongly believed that, and its never failed me, and never will.

Well, despite of his arrogant attitude, Amare was right. The Spurs-Suns series were the real Finals this year and Stoudemire's suspension played a big role in the outcome of the series. Had Amare played, the Suns may have won game 5 and the series. And after that I don't think that they would lose to the Jazz or anyone that came out of the East.

Completely agree. It was really a shame. I hate it when extraneous factors like dumb suspensions & bad calls by refs end up deciding important outcomes in sports. The NBA really screwed things up this year, in my opinion.

If the Suns players were not suspended and they won the series and the championship, then th Suns title would be tainted by selective non-enforcement of a well-known rule in effect for a decade that has bitten other players before.

I didn't know having a fair game, where all healthy players are allowed to play, can taint a series...

    "selective non-enforcement..."

    They play basketball...

NO!!! Horry threw his shoulder(little more than a moving screen) into Nash who then went into his off balance-arms flaying routine while falling(WHO PUT THAT F#@!$ING SCORERS TABLE THERE  )to the floor. Nash went into his usual flopping routine to ensure a "flagrant" foul call and simply forgot that he was near the table.

Then you must be crazy..if you didnt know, the spurs were an even better ROAD team than home team...it doesnt matter how you put it, the spurs were going to win no matter what.
