is this professional only? cause that's all you have in the poll

if not... then it's college football all the way, and team of course is UT where I went to school

if professional only, then NFL and the Dallas Cowboys all the way. I was born in Houston, but then family moved to Dallas when I was 8 so I grew up the rest of my childhood there. Cowboys all the way

I'm not anywhere near as much a fan of the Mavericks though, I like them the same as the Rockets. I just don't like the NBA that much.... FOOTBALL IS KING in Texas

I love all houston teams..but in terms of general quality, the NBA would be a lot higher if it wasn't in such piss poor shape right now (at least in terms of the disparity between the East and West).

Baseball is always number one in my book....probably followed by the NFL then the NBA and NASCAR...I just can't get into MLS and NHL.

In terms of houston sports though...Astros and Rockets are probably tied then in a distant third the Texans then the Dynamo then the Aeros.

This is about where I'm at right now... except that I probably LOVE the NFL, but won't live and die with the Texans untill they establish more of an identity (even if they are destined to be losers... I will love them... they just have to keep on losing, and start embracing that to make it their own :D )

I never thought I'd be ambivalent about the NBA... but I am. I'll still live and die with the Rockets, and probably will root heavily for the Mavs demise (as I did this year)... but other than that, its just not too compelling.

NBA used to be #1 for me back in the 90s, but these days it has honestly been pretty crappy. Too much ref influence, lack of good rivalries, whining, flopping, stupid rules and overall lameness have killed my interest in the league. I just can't get into it anymore like I used to.

As of now, I'd rate them:

    1. MLB
    2. NFL

huge, huge, huge, huge, huge gap...

    3. NBA
    4. Tennis
    5. NHL

I don't like that MLS is not on this list.

Baseball is my favorite sport, but the way Bud Selig has handled the MLB is abysmal. So my favorite league would be MLS. And "futbol" means too many other things than just MLS, so I went with MLB ('cause my favorite sport is baseball).

    1. NFL/College Football- Only sport that I can watch no matter who is playing.

    2. NBA- Can't really get into it if the Rockets aren't involved, I use to be a NBA fanatic but its not nearly as intriguing as it once was.

    3. MLB- I'm an Astros fan but that's about it.
