that whole case (and all the political jockeying people did to take the side of the hooker and only cower when its found out she lied) ticks me off pretty good.
He used the story to his political advantage until the dam broke. Brings up another question whether DAs should be elected. Three preppies were an easy target. I want to know the demographics of his county. I think this is headed to D&D Another thing, the actions of Nifong and the accuser have made things worse for real rape victims! It's sad.
I have a hard time finding sympathy for spoiled, rich white kids who were drinking while underaged and hiring strippers. Their innocence is truly in doubt.

They're college kids. College kids drink underage. College kids hire strippers. It's as American as baseball and apple pie. Have you been on a college campus recently? No one deserves to have the label rapist applied to them...rich or poor, white or black...if they didn't do the crime. I have no doubt Nifong made their lives hell so I do feel sorry for them just like I feel sorry for the next woman who will inevitably be raped and no one will believe her because of the Duke accuser.
But that is not what the case was about. Being rich, white, and drunk doesn't matter. Sort of like being poor, black, and intoxicated doesn't make you a criminal.
I wish, for your sake, you would be able to rewind time and not post that...I kinda feel bad for you.
Just out of curiosity, do you know how rare it is for a district attorney to state that defendants are innocent? Here is a quote from the new DA that took over for Nifong when the boys were acquitted: The charges were not just dismissed, they were pronounced innocent.
seriously, what kind of background and upbringing did you have that always makes you so against rich people? I'm not even being sarcastic or anything, what do you have against rich white kids in general? as far as the whole drinking underage thing and hiring strippers... LOL. did you ever go to college? cause if you did and you didn't drink underage and didn't hire strippers, well you were missing out let me tell you (btw that's not even making the OBVIOUS point that all races of all colors drink underage and hire strippers)
RR, just curious, did you have a problem with blind justice when Jesse Jackson offered the lying w**** a college scholarship? Or when he said his group pledged to pay for her tuition even if her story proves false? Somehow I think you're OK with that kind of justice.
give me a break. because they happen to be born into money (maybe not..who knows what their families have gone through) they are not innocent? were they underaged? hiring strippers is reason to doubt their innocence? that post is wrong in so many ways.
Just because he used the word "rich" in his sentence, do you REALLY believe that is what he holds against those three? I'm pretty sure there was a much more meaningful word in his response.
