I believe that Rick Adelman will begin to try and morph this roster into one very similiar to his sucessfull kings rosters.
The first step he took was obviously the mike james deal, but Adelman wont use him as a bobby jackson but rather more like a mike bibby(unless by some miracle that we get mike bibby).
James will have to learn how to slow down and direct the team but i think he can do it.
head will be bj :D . he will work on his ball handling and be more explosive like back in his Illini days.
the role of cwebb will be Yao working in the high post and becoming a passing big man while still maintaning is scoring ability.
the other main players of those kings teams are christie, divac and Peja(with a little Gerald Wallace mixed in) should all be represented by Tmac
hopefully we can have the sucess that they had a few years ago.

u know why we can't be those kings teams? we have legit go-to players where u can pound the ball 20-25 times and can expect them to create for themselves.

those kings team, though great, couldn't really go through b/c they never had that great 1-on-1 player like kobe or shaq.

rick will help our offense in terms of getting to the 4th where tmac/yao can take over.

but basically, tmac = christie's D + webber/dviac's passing + peja's scoring combined. so i think tmac will still do a lot of playmaking. but yao will play high post more so he'll pass more and that's good.

thats some good point about the go-to player. though, tmac probaly is going to do alot of playmaking, but i'm pretty sure tmac doens't have to force so much into playmaking. aldmen, will make tons easier for both tmac and yao. tmac will actualy have people moving, instead of waiting on the 3point line. yao, doesn't have to waste 7-10 seconds just to get the position, that right there will help alot for yao's stamina. and less flopping for the opponent. remember those flops by okur? hopefully, yao can consistanly play 35-40 minutes.

i think yao will do some playmaking too, but only if the playcuts. he'll stand at the triple threat near the ft line and just stand up and pass to any one that moves near the basket.

i think mike will be used primarily as a scorer like bobby jackson. he can create but i think since he'll play a lot more w/ out 2nd unit, he'll look to score more, except when tmac/yao are in.

but again, the kings go to-player was mike bibby and most of the shots are catch and shoot jumpers. bibby was great at it but if u have to depend on a guy of bibby's stature, ur not gonna get it done.

adelman will have the two best talents he will ever work w/ in tmac and yao.

there is no rule saying that u have to force the ball to some one 20-25 times
if u played Adelman style offense when with the kings, tmac and yao would still get the ball plenty but others would also get a touch in a position to be sucessfull

no im saying we have players that we can do that to. i'm not saying he should. of course not. who would do that? but in case something happens on that night and our role players seem to suck more than usual, we can do that. like the case in 3 games this playoff series.

Impossible!!!!!!!!!!!! How can a selfish Shooting Guard, who has molded himself into being this person change into a clever Play Maker Point Guard.?
C Webb will not be able physically to do the job as PF playing along side of Yao. Leave him in Detroit where he belongs!

C Webb was the guy who took the cavs to the final, not lebron james!

You ****ing said playmaker point guard again. You are an idiot. Almost everything you say makes no sense and I can't Clutch has not demoted you to rookie. You do no research when you post. Opinions are fine but yours disagree with almost everyone else's. You also do nothing to persuade me that your opinions are well-founded and repeatedly ignore my requests for facts.

I asked you for realistic scenarios for "playmaker point guards" you like several times. You ignore me either because I already offended you and you have me on ignore or you have no answer. Either way you are dead to me. It takes a lot to push me. You are now officially the first person on my ignore list.

I think he meant that CWebb did a nice choking job and gave the Cavs a by.

Anyways.. I hope Adelman will try to mold our team to a Kobe-Shaq Lakers or a Spurs rather than old Kings. If he tries.. I honestly think the old Kings are better.

His biggest mistake as a coach, if he so choose, would be to try to relive his old Kings. This is totally different personnel he's working with. You can't mold MJ into a Bibby. That's like forcing a Honda to being a BMW.

I think we have the capacity of being better than the old Kings. We're just a couple of trades away.

Adelman had NOTHING to do with that trade.

Chris Webber is an asset to the opposing team. The Manchurian candidate-in the big game he is programmed to implode.

No those Kings teams would beat the crap out of the Rockets today. In fact, those Kings teams might very well be able to beat the Spurs of this year.

That was the beauty of the Kings, they didn't need that superstar player. They just broke you down and executed you to death. In crunch time, Bibby always took the big shot (and usually made it too) so its not like they didn't have a go to guy in the crunch. That princeton offense was one of the greatest displays of offensive teamwork you could possibly see.

But integrating some of the principles of the Kings' offense will be a good thing. People have cried for less ISO sets and more motion sets and now we'll get that. So at the very least, it'll be more fun to watch.
