Sura's contract=very attractive for either a salery dump or to meet a certain salery with another player

Head's contract=with the James deal I don't see how Luther will fit into the rotation here since he can't play point and is so limited. Good news is, certain teams could use him and with the open threes he was able to get last season his stock is high

Battier-would not trade him for anything we have talked about unless it was for Lewis or Marian. Great contract for a very good player

JL3-not gonna play here so if someone wants to give us a young athletic 4 that is buried on thier bench move him.

Of couse Span, Novak abd Snyder could all be moved but I would like this team right here

    Rafer/Span/Lucus3
    James/Bonzi/Snyder
    T-Mac/Reed/Draft pick-MLE
    Battier/Draft Pick-MLE/Novak
    Yao/Jake

Let's assume we don't resign Deke and Hayes (Jake is younger than Deke and Hayes lets face it might not be in RA's plans) so this leaves us with 14 players if we trade Sura and Head you can expect a pretty good impact player and that is just one senario. Point is we don't really have any bad contracts and we do have some room to move even without cap space.

    End of game rotation

Span or Rafer (whoever is playing better)
    James
    T-Mac
    Battier
    Yao

Bonzi-Snyder and I assume another impact player would give us a ton of lineup flexability depending on matchups. Multiple 2-3's are a good thing to have.

Jake would give us fouls on a true center and Novak could give us a three point assasin off the bench.

The bad contract is gone, the dead money is gone, we are gonna be deep. Good days are here and it did not happen overnight so lets give CD some credit for last offseason.

    Just my .02

it seems that at this point, everyone on the team, who isn't mac or yao, is a tradable commodity.

there will be a good amount of roster tunrover this summer. it's too early to say what the team will look like in october. i'd like to see what happens at the draft. hopefully davis stern has "a trade to announce." ;)

Just going off of what RA has been saying regaurding wanting 2/3's over 4's

I am sure with either a trade or the pick we will get a more legit 4

he wants 3/4's. guys who can play the post of the perimeter. 2/3's are basically interchangable in today's game, but both play the perimeter.

Battier is a role player, his strong points are doing intangibles!!! ;) One thing for sure is that Battier can't play the POWER FORWARD position. If Coach 'A' wants to help Yao to improve his game we need to find a tall strong athletic Power Forward who can rebound and is great at putting the missed shots back into the basket and can block shots. He will also need to be able to defend near the basket opposite side to Yao. This player is not Artest nor Battier, posssibly the best person to play this role would be Marcus Camby.
I expect to see about 4 or five new players on the Roster for next season.

We can't trade Battier -- we would have no glue. Sniff. Sniff. :D

Good points but I think during streches Battier can certainly play the 4 when the other guy is not named Tim Duncon or Sheed Wallace
