Jezz that was horrible, watched it because I couldn't find anything else on.

I was waiting for Tony Parker to start dropping some mad lyrics when he got the MVP. Baller, Rapper and French ? never made sense to me

At least it's over and let us never speak of this again...

The last time I looked, there were no asterisks or disclaimers on the Larry O'Brien trophy last night. Your statement sounds like sour grapes and is typical of what I'm seeing and hearing from both Rockets' & Mavericks fans. You know good and well that if that were the Rockets' hoisting that trophy last night, you wouldn't be here posting that they didn't earn this year's title. I say accept reality and move on. Taking snide potshots at the Spurs won't change the outcome of this year's playoffs.

At least until next year when we're watching someone else play for the title...again.

True that. I remember back then many Rox fans said that Tito fricken Maddox will be better than Tony. :D

I think you could make a case that the Spurs won that Suns series in no small part due to the aftermath of Cheap Shot Rob's assault on Steve Nash. Does that warrant an asterisk next to the 2007 title? Maybe. It at the very least backs up the argument made by many that this is a dirty team.

As much as it disgusts me to see San Antonio hoisting another championship trophy(even an illegitmate one), at least I can take comfort in the knowledge that David Stern got exactly what he deserved with this disaster of a Finals.

I thought the Cavs would at least win one game..Got to give credit to the Spurs as they dominated and I see no end in sight...

Well, of course, until next year when the Rox kick there arse...

    Pretty boring series.

I thought it was pretty funny when Marc Jackson was like "Too late Lebron, congratulations but take that BABY!" I don't know if he meant it like that but I thought it was pretty witty.

You know, if you were a vindictive person, you could have pointed this out on those silly "Bring Back Steve Francis" threads.

Wow, the NBA playoffs really sucked after cheap shot Bob's foul.

But at least TD didn't get another MVP where we would hear further ridiculous stuff about his legendary status or anthing (Duncan as a the greatest big man since Kareem).

Duncan can stick to his mantle of "best center to ever masquerade as a power forward".

Lame end to a very promising NBA year through early May.

But I have to give credit to the Spurs as a team and their coaches. Probably the 3rd most talented team won because they showed greater defensive and team commitment and greater focus under pressure than Dallas or Phoenix did.

Outside of Shaq and Kobe, that team wasn't all that great.

I just don't think they really had any tough competition and when they ran into a solid team (Detroit) they lost. They had been swept by the early version of the Spurs (with Robinson) and a young Duncun.....and once guys like Elie and vetern guards retired leaving the Spurs weaker (until they developed Parker and Genobli), the western conference and the league was wide open. I mean there just wasn't any really good teams from 1999-2006.

So while convential wisdom will say the Lakers were this or that....c'mon, they had two stars and no one else.
