They didn't earn this year's title, and they never played Philadelphia. The Lakers played Philadelphia. They've played New York, New Jersey, Detroit, and now Cleveland.

Ok, this is just revisionist history or plain homerism. You're going to say that Lakers team, one of which is debated to be one of the greatest in NBA history featuring the MDE and possibly the 2nd greatest 2 guard of all time, wasn't all that good, and then turn around and laud the Rockets as a "strong 5 all at or near their peak."

    Let's get serious.

O the irony, now, whenever we see the "witness" poster, we can say, "yup, we WITNESSED the Cavs getting swept."

Seriously, we all might be better off pretending like this horrendous display of "basketball" never even happened.

Well Flip Saunders is not really a master at Defense and they are DEFINITELY missing Ben Wallace. Plus Sheed imploded. I think Larry Brown was a good disciplinarian and was able to calm sheed down and make the team play defense and stay at their spots. In that series against the cavs, they didn't seem very disciplined.

Be happy they are honking their horns, its keeping them from falling asleep from watching the game. I missed the entire 3rd quarter cause i slumped over in my sofa zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Never Ever Ever Ever will the media talk crap about the Rockets vs Knicks as the 'boring' series. (they said that cause the Knicks lost)

    zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

This series was very underwhelming because of the huge gap between the talent levels of the two teams. SA was just so much better than the Cavs that there was no doubt about the outcome of the series since game 1. I honestly believe that the Rockets would have won a series agains the Cavs. This Finals series will go down as one of the worst Finals ever.

It's not that it was a sweep. And it's not that the Cavs were vastly inferior to the Spurs. Hell, they should've won Game 3 and could've won Games 1 and 4(especially the latter).

The problem is you had two very good defensive teams who could not consistently put the ball in the basket. Say what you will about the Rockets-Knicks series being ugly, but at least those two teams were able to top 90 on a semi-regular basis. And that was with the old rules that ate up more of the shotclock and essentially allowed Derek Harper to push Kenny Smith anywhere he wanted on the floor.

The sweep along with the Cavs being a one-man team only made an ugly, boring series into an unwatchable one.
