you are right. yet you ignore the poor play of just about every player on the team...including the "superstars". You do realize that at some point prime players have to be responsible? dont you? Lets face it, the rockets have mental pushovers. Yao is mr nice guy and he didnt play that well. Tmac hides when it counts.
Yes, I agree, the players are certainly just as culpable as JVG, I find them both at fault, so.... First, you get rid of JVG, then you replace some of the players who failed as well. And you lace em up and try again, until the chemistry experiment works. DD
Way to kick a guy when he's down. Some people are just shameless. I guess his mama didn't teach him his manners.
Just look at the Jazz. They're unbeatable at home. Only lost 1 game in the playoffs at home. rarely lost in the regular season. Game 7, I blame that on the players. Rafer was ballin', but everyone else didn't show up, particularly in the last 5 minutes of the 4th quarter. Luther and Juwan definitely hurt us by not hitting their shots, especially Luther since he can't do anything else, and Tracy disappeared at a time when superstars are waiting to take over games. Yao had the worst 1st half in game 7 since Luc Longley's play at center with the Bulls. Again, we were up 5 with 5 mins, and then Tracy choked as usual. We could have really used Mike James in the 4th quarter of that game. He wouldn't have let us lose. And he's 10x better than Luther. Sorry Luther, but you're either going to the end of the bench or you're bait.
few days after he got fired, JVG came into our dealership to turn in his lease car and lease another one. He was talking in a manner so differently from his post game interviews, he was playing with his daughter and joking with all the sales people. I wanted to go up and say job well done, but i kept it professional even though he was sitting 10 feet from me. when we cleaned out his lease return car, we found family passes and other rockets stuff and one of the guys chunks it in the trash and says, "he ain't gonna need these anymore". c'mon guys. he's a human like everyone else. he lost a job. i was amazed at how normal he was after just seeing him so gloomy and monotone in his interviews. he's a houston citizen for the time being. he was at the owls game couple of weeks ago. people are going to run into him. be nice please.
I think everyone has a misconception of where JVG coach ends and JVG the man begins. He seems like an upstanding guy. As a coach, he seems negative and demanding, as a friend he seems like the best friend you could ask for. He deserves a lot of respect for staying in the city where he got fired just for his daughter. Mad props Gundy, mad props.
classless and rude. JVG may not be THE best coach, he's still a good one, whether u like his style or not.
Lexus GX470...he turned in a GX and got another GX...i guess he doesn't like change!!!! his wife came in to have the license plates put on today. nice lady.
