hahaha, true, but i saw langhi play in the NBA and he did not have the talent that reed has. I'm not saying it's overwhelming, but he has enough to keep him in the league until now and he will stay in the NBA.
I agree. There is no way the Rockets can get over the hump without a dramatic risk to get an impact player like Artest. The West is just too good right now. They roster tinkering they have been doing since McGrady joined Yao is fine, but they just don't have the horses at the moment.
http://nbadraft.net/profiles/justinreed.asp If he's really like Jumaine Jones I would be more than happy. Decent 3-point shooter and a solid rebounder. Overall a decent tweener.
In today's NBA, Reed i's a 4, however in the west against Ducan and Boozer we need a 4 at 6'9" that can play in the low post and run the floor.
I guarentee Reed was a throw in to make the salaries work, and thats all. He will probably go the way of big Jake - waivers.
No way he gets waived before training camp. Not a chance. He has enough potential and showed some flashes of what he is capable of the last month of the season, and he really did not get to play much before that. Why would you waive a 25 year old big man like this? 1. 4 year all SEC player 2. NBA body and size 3. Can play the 3 or the 4 4. All SEC academic performer 5. Good character 6. Prior history with Morey 7. Can defend 8. Can handle the ball VERY well for a man his size 9. Still young 10. Can hit his free throws (80%) 11. Athletic Like I said, he's not going to ever be a superstar, but there isn't any reason at all that he shouldn't be a productive pro if he gets the chance. I thought he had a chance to be a first rounder coming out of college. He's a better shooter than he has shown so far in his career. I don't know why he hasn't shot better so far to be honest. Maybe there is something wrong with him that I don't know about, but it wouldn't shock me to see him put it together if he gets in the right situation. Or he could actually suck. Who knows?
I don't believe cheap steals. The Houston Rockets have never stolen anything like forever. Just trade him away in a package for a decent 4.
Tweener forward. But like most everyone, I won't hesitate to throw him in a package that gets us a PF. If not, he might still be of use, esp if he plays good D.
i think people are getting a big carried away with this guy. when the best thing you can say about a guy is he's a good ft shooter, he's not a good player. he's young and athletic. he has good size, but little skill. nice add in for the rockets, but he will be a bench warmer.
