I am filing for my citizenship which finally after bring too lazy to do it before, now I find myself forced since the rate will soon go up. While filling it out, I found an option to change my name. This is really intriguing because my first name is incredibly hard to pronounce in English. I want to add a middle name to use that primarily because I get annoyed of trying to teach people to pronounce my name. I always wished growing up that I had a chance to pick my own name it would have made life easier. So first of all if you were in my situation, would you add a middle name. If so, what would you suggest. It had to work both ways though, English and Spanish because of my first name i wouldnt want my first name and then a middle name like chad, thats just lame. (Nothing against that name, its just better for white ppl...well you get what im saying) I have limited time, my parent do not agree with it but if I find a name that I like will jump on it. Help!
the details about the name are overwhelming! whats your first name? edit: wow, so many responses in 5 mins.
Yea it sure is...now you see my point. Doesnt sound all that bad in spanish but come on...we're in america
Just don't Americanize it too much. You want to make sure you can still capitalize on Affirmative Action.
So I'm assuming you want a Spanish sounding name that's easy to pronounce for non-spanish speakers... just try some common ones like: Fernando Alberto Manuel Marcos Raul You're name is cool btw.
