I might pick this one up. Played 4 years of football in high school myself and a HUGE fan of the game. Thanks.

I watched "Da Vinci Code" movie (unfortunately) so I don't really want to read the book (even though I know it is way better). But would I be able to read "Demons and Angels" w/o being lost?

The only chart I remember is one that compares the A's first half record versus second record from various years. To the best of my recollection, there were no charts on various statistics, but I'm probably wrong.

    Don't read much, eh?

I believe Angels and Demons was written first. It's a much, much better book than The Da Vinci Code. It has the same lead character, but they're really unrelated stories.

My recommendation: Pistol: The Life of Pete Maravich is easily the best book I've read recently, and probably the best sports biography I've ever read. It's a really well-written book.

i might be confusing moneyball with in between the numbers. but i was pretty sure moneyball talked a lot about stats/figures because its basically how billy beane went about choosing his draft choices.
