How dare you question Vince Young. He has ALWAYS supported our local economy. I wouldn't be surprised if he and his receivers supported our clubs a lot this weekend.
LOL, Vince is going to need a LOT more of these silly little "practices" to get those loser recievers to catch any of his balls (as opposed to sucking his balls like some on this bbs) this year. It's going to be a long season for titan fans. What did they do to get better during the offseason besides lose their best player for the year? Name one thing. LOL.
uh, what's up with all the anti-Vince feelings from some of you posters? why do yall hate VY personally so much?? I don't get where that's coming from
Two things: 1) He plays for a division rival whose team is owned by the person responsible for there being no Houston Oilers. 2) VY fans consistently trolling the Texans forum reminding us that he could be a Texan. Most of us root for the team, not the person.
And thats from a big time UT fan. Those of us that don't bleed burnt orange are even sicker of hearing about him.
He's a frickin Titan. I don't dislike the guy at all BUT, hes a Titan. To me, it's like openly rooting for the Utah Jazz.
RM95 is in the minority. Poll UT alumni and fans. Furthermore, I suspect RM95 is a bigger Texans fan than a UT fan. Fans who put UT first are bitterly pissed. I would also like to add that VY is the greatest player to wear the burnt orange since Earl. I don't think there is any argument. I don't understand anti-VY sentiment from any UT fan. To be pissed at VY cause UT fans worship him is ridiculous. Hate the fans not VY. Even if he is now an enemy...I don't understand the hate if you're a UT fan after what he accomplished for you.
Not even close. Titans have a HOUSTON history, Mavs do not. Either people still identify with the Titans as their team from their childhood (despite that f-ing clown Bud Adams,) or they've moved on to the Texans. I'm fine with either, but it's dumb as hell for people to call out Titans fans for sticking with them just because they moved. But we've dealt with this issue to death, so let's not revisit it. Bottom line- I'm a UT grad, born and raised in H-town, but my favorite team is STILL the Titans. It was before they had VY, and it certainly is now, too. F*** anyone who wants to tell me why or why not a team can't be my favorite regardless of where I was born. Those people who cry over and over about VY not getting drafted by the Texans need to get over it because that ain't changing. However, I think it's sorry that people get pissed and get their panties all bunched up whenever someone wants to celebrate something about VY. His connections to the city and state are beyond obvious, and there is clearly a large contingent that care here, whether others like it or not. If you don't like him, DON'T READ IT.....
"Jones firmly believes some of the things taking place off the field will pay off this fall. "Stuff like this, it helps more than you know," Jones said. "And right now that is what Vince brings to the club — he helps establish the camaraderie, and it makes guys feel more like a family. "A couple of years ago, it didn't necessarily feel like a family; you feel like an outsider, you just go to work. But now there's a different feel now because we are all getting to know each other, and you'd be amazed with how much that helps on the field." VY rules!
Ha ha....sure. Whatever makes you happy, bro. I remember back in the day when the Rockets were fighting to win that first title, all I kept hoping was that we'd see less of the OJ chase and more of Karla and Stockton! But hey, whatever you want to say, dude. it's all good. It's the same argument over and over and over and people believe what they want. I quit.... I'll just go back to "living in sin" being a Titans fan, while also loving the Rockets and 'Stros. I can only hope my stay in purgatory isn't too long for not riding Matt Schaub's jock while I enjoy watching the team I grew up loving.....
come on Smokey, i think the majority of us here hate on the VY fans, not VY himself. surely you can see that.
