"This week he's putting his money where his mouth is. Young invited a number of the team's receivers to Houston to work out and spend the week together in his hometown. l cYoung took care of the airfare and hotel costs. The receivers are responsible for catching his passes and working more on getting on the same page."

    + hiring a local trainer.

    lol. :D

that is support fer the local economy. job, hotel costs, food, taxes that at some point supported local sports ...

'course i wouldn't mention his extraordinary leadership and initiative, that unfortunately, isn't related to the local economy. :p

Well, technically he's right, but I was thinking more of a donation to the food bank or something...

I will say this, this will do nothing but help his game...

I'm sure they hit the strip clubs. That stimulates the local economy, among other things.

if 'lil pun has a greater contribution, i'll make a thread celebrating 'lil punny's contribution to our economics.

i don't make many new threads, so it's a pseudo honor. kinda like winning FlavaFlave in a contest.

I was afraid it was going to have something to do with Vince making it rain in Houston.

Start another thread when you know he goes poopoo. That might be MORE interesting.

In fact, I believe this might be our POOP thread of the week (Sunday starts a new week).

"And he wasn't going to take no for an answer," receiver Brandon Jones said. "At first I was like, 'I can't get down there until Wednesday,' and he was like, 'No, no, get your butt down here.' Everybody had to put their excuses aside and we are now here and having fun and working.

"Vince thought it would be a good idea to keep working, and it's definitely beneficial in a number of ways."

the thread title may be a fit facetious, but VY is willing to invest his time and money in his future success. initiative, leadership, drive are all on display. his throwing motion and first year completion % won't make some swoon, but i hope his efforts pay off ...

Same conference, same division, won a national championship at Texas, born and raised in Houston, drafted by the former Houston NFL franchise...could it get any worse for the Texans to be reminded of it every year for the rest of VY's career.
