ugh With the curly-for-hamilton swap and the activation of Hakeem, Rockets had to send Cato to IR. This means, unless we release an active player, Cato must sit for at least 5 games. However, we can drop someone to bring Cato back sooner. It would take fully releasing one of them. Of course, we could do the revolving door thing and release gray to activate cato, then release curly (after 9 more days) and re-sign Gray.
Anyone who has watched the Rockets over the years knows that they are OVERLY cautious about injuries. Especially if sitting that injured player does not hurt what you are trying to do...ie lose games. DaDakota "Just come out and say it Rudy, this season is over, bring on the lottery"
let me get this straight: I start a thread about Cato being committed to the bench for 5 games and we say, c'est la vie No, "Yeah I heard...that sucks cause we have Portland and Miami coming up at home, and i got tickets". Or, "We need Cato...these injuries are killing us" Man this board is defeated, and soon will be looking forward to Clutch's weekly lottery report.
I really don't see the problem here. Cato needs five games. He gets five games. I see Gray getting cut again, but not until Carlos comes back from his leave (probably for the Portland Game at Home). For the two postions Cato plays (4&5), we will have Curley & Hakeem at the five, with relief work from .... Thomas,Bullard and Carlos (when he comes back). The four is solid with Carlos,K Thomas and Bullard playing well there too. We will be okay with Cato out for some games. IMHO, anyway.
the problem is I didn't think his injury was that bad. Also, I didn't see mention of this in the Feature area, so thought the australian and alaskan fans would appreciate it. g'day mate
