http://www.startribune.com/507/story/1233170.html Among the players comprising the Timberwolves summer league team that will play in Las Vegas will be Randy Foye, Craig Smith, Rashad McCants and Loukas Mavrokefalidis. In addition, there will be: Greg Brunner of Iowa, who played with the Wolves' summer league team last year; Ryan Bowen, who bounced around the league for seven or eight years and who played overseas last year; and Mateen Cleaves, the point guard from Michigan State who has played with several NBA teams.
I hope Rybo does well and make the TWolves roster. I just don't want him to come back and torch the Rockets and become the TMac stopper or something.
looking at his website and reading his blog, apparently he had some knee problems after diving into the scorers table that cut short his trip to europe by 3 weeks. I hope he's okay. Although he didn't score much, i always loved it when he was on the floor hustling.
To be honest. I didn't realize he went overseas. I just figured he never played. We had to pay him $1,000,000 last year and he wasn't on the team.
Was the nickname Rybo created soley for this thread? Swear to tiny baby Jesus I've never heard that in my life!
considering he was a third option guy who was forced to start due to injury and he played through a serious hip injury for most of that last season he was here. dude deserves more respect.
It was a common nickname for him a couple season ago. Fly'n Ryan, Rybo...many others. There was a thread somewhere about what his nickname should be. I liked him as an energy guy, but he was forced to play too much on our short handed roster, and got a lot of flack for not being very good. He defended well, but his offense was lacking.
Does it make me any less of a Rockets fan if I want this to happen? I mean just once in a regular season. That would be HILARIOUS! "Rybo with the BLOCK on Tmac and throws a prayer from the parking lot.... ..... GOOOOOODDD!!!!!" hahahah
he will cap it off with the GW shot <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Nk0xwsZ8dXs"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Nk0xwsZ8dXs" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
