I quit liking him when he said something like: It's nice to get out of this dump it to Olajuwon offense. This was right after he was traded. That's the only reason he is any good, he has a big man down low that draw's all the attention and gives him these wide open shots.
Why are you guys so mad? Horry did alot for this organization and what did we do for him? Traded his A$@? So am I mad/sad that he said Spurs is like a family? No
Bingo. Houston "fans" expect loyalty when the organization and they themselves do not give it in return. Hypocrites! The funniest thing, however, is seeing the people who were too busy watching the Astros choke every year to have actually observed Robert Horry's legendary career chiming in.
what in the world does Robert Horry have to do with the Astros??? how is that remotely relevant???? what color is a square??? how long is forever???
Are you kidding me? How many posters here have been riding "Big Shot Bob"'s jock for the past decade+ because of the couple of seasons he spent in Houston? Not that I expect any loyalty from Horry, but the dedication of fans to championship Rockets is astounding, even over-committed. Btw, is this really AntiSonic or has Tinman hijacked this account?
Who cares?! What do you expect for him to say? "The Rockets will always be like Fam even though they traded me!" We gutted our Championship team for Charles *freakin* Barkley. There are still a lot of fans today who are upset about that trade. I don't have a problem with him saying that at all.
Always be one of my fav Rockets in my book.. Horry rates the rings After so many years and so many titles (six), Robert Horry still has a favorite championship and least favorite championship ring. Both were won with the Rockets. "My favorite ring is the ugliest ring," Horry said. "That's the year we swept Orlando (1995). I don't wear it because it's too ugly. But that's my favorite championship, my favorite ring. We came from the sixth seed and had to do so many things, had so many obstacles we had to overcome.
yeah people on this forum are whiny little babies, difficult to stand. but, fyi, robert hates being called "bob"
I'm still having difficulty accepting the cheap shot on Steve Nash. He used to be the only good thing about seeing the Spurs win, but now I'm not so sure I care for anything on that team. Eva Longoria, maybe.
My whole point in all of this is not to say that he doesn't prefer the Spurs, but that he's saying it's the only team he's been on (not organization, he said team) where they emphasize closeness and being like a family. I only quoted a few words of the whole thing. That's bunk. I kept every article from the 1994 and 1995 playoff runs, and he said the same things back then about the Rockets that he's saying now about the Spurs ("we were a tight-knit group, me and Sam are like brothers, etc., etc.). You know, just because you're happy with your situation now, Bob, does not mean you have to say something just for camera value. If he feels that way, fine. Next time they interview him and ask him about comparing the teams, let's have Dream, Sam, Mario, Otis, and Kenny stand in front of him. Then let him say that. Yeah, that's what I thought. The coach and organization clearly explained the reason they needed to trade him- they lacked on offense, and both Sean Elliott and Charles Barkley offered way more in that respect than Mr. Horry. Being that he's called himself a role player, even back in 1994, he knows all too well what they were talking about. If trades are a measure of the "family" aspect, then no team is a family, not even the Spurs. Were the Spurs traitors for letting go of Malik Rose? Rasho Nesterovic? Jaren Jackson? Nazi Mohammad? No, of course not. But the Rockets are, right? Geez, some of you act as if we're the only team that trades players or refuses to sign players.
lmao. horry is overrated. i don't have a problem with his comments last night and i appreciate his contribution to the championships but he really does mail it in quite often. he has said in the past that hakeem is the best big man he ever played with, if that makes anyone feel better.
Who cares? Horry is also the one that has said Hakeem is better than Shaq. He's been asked this a few time times since he's played with both and always sides with Hakeem.
Hmmmm. I think it's pretty clear, based on the posting styles, that tinman = AntiSonic. Another BBS mystery solved!!!!!111
Anti-sonic hasn't posted numerous useless pics of Horry yet, so i'll give him the benefit of the doubt
