Foster is a very good player... but I do wonder if Adelman would rather not have two guys who can't hit jump shots at the 4. (I remember seeing Foster's fg% on jumpers was 17% one year).

I just reminded myself why I never visit this thread by looking at all of these stupid trade ideas. No wonder Isiah Thomas and Kevin McHale still have their jobs.

Its about brainstorming......sure it explains why none of us are GM's.....but it also supports the notion in the world "if its not my idea...it sucks".

There are always some reasonable ideas and there is rarely a response to those ideas.....thus proving my point.

If you want objectivity visit clutchfans a several years ago.

    God bless the haters.

    Hows this:

    Miami gets: artest

    Hou gets: haslem and bibby

    Sacramento gets: Howard 2 years
    Sura 1 year
    Vspan 2 years
    head 2 years
    snyder 1 year
    doleac 1 year
    20 pick from miami
    26 pick from hou
    future first from hou
    future second from hou

Houston sells their future with a chance 2 win now. Lets sign hayes and mutombo as our b-up pf and c. Hope bonzi doesnt leave. Split oue mle for 2 players.
    C-yao/deke/mle2
    pf-haslem/hayes
    sf-battier/mle1/novak
    sg-tmac/bonzi
    pg-bibby/alston

Miami does it to get artest. Haslem and the 20 are good but your getting a guy that can shut down some1 and score 20 pts. A healthy shaq + a healthy wade + a sane artest= contenders.

Sacramento would do coz of the draft piks. They have the 10. Plus they are getting 20 and 26 from a deep draft and additonal future frst and second from hou. They get contracts not more than 2 years. Some are even 1 year. This is better than keeping both unhappy players on their team and become unrestricted free agents in 2 years.

    What do think

I doubt this would work under the cba, but if it did I would do it, Miami maybe, Sac maybe.

I would do this in a country second. Wilcox + Earl > Battier. Losing Jho contract priceless. Unless Seattle is in love with Battier, I doubt they would do it.

How do you feel about a Marion for Battier trade? Obviously, Houston would need to give up much more for the contracts to work, but a trade like
Battier + Sura + V-Span + Snyder for Marion would work. Or maybe just a Battier + Sura + a resigned Hayes and Lucas.
Do you think Pheonix would be satisfied with just getting Battier and expiring contracts? And do you think the Rockets would be willing to hit the luxury tax if it meant adding someone like Marion?

    Successful Scenario
Due to Houston, Sacramento, and Miami being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Houston, Sacramento, and Miami had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

sorry it was a long message but main points are:
Sacramento get rid of their big contracts . take on expiring contracts in jason williams and doleac and sura, get houston and miamis first round picks and get shane battier

Miami does have to give up Haslem, but they get artest who u know theyre interested in, and rafer whos not the best option for point guard but they need all the help they can get at point guard and hes already played with wade in the backcourt where he had a very good season.
Houston has to give up battier but they solve their PF and PG problems

    Miami's line-up
    Rafer
    Wade
    Artest
    Howard
    Shaq

    Houston's line-up
    Bibby
    Head
    Mcgrady
    Haslem
    Yao

Sacramento . I dont know what they would do they replace artest with battier and jason williams + doleac + bob sura..that's 14 million in expiring contracts. plus two first round draft picks.

    JUWAN
    SHANE
    #26 PICK

    FOR

    ZACH RANDOLPH 6-9 PF
    MARTELL WEBSTER 6-7 SF
    #52 PICK
    #53 PICK

Draft a Center and a Shooting Guard. We need a major shake up of youth!

    Sheed going to NY?

Looks like Sheed is available this summer.

We need a bad guy in our team to put fear in our opponent's heart, plus we need help on the PF position. Sheed is a perfect fit for Yao and Mac, especially when he shoots from 3-point and rebounds well.

The players I'd like to give up? Howard, Sura and probably some future picks.

the only reason i give up shane, is because i believe shane is just holding back tmac from his maximum appearance, do to positioning. if we move shane, we can move tmac to the sf. miami could give us draft picks, especialy if their getting some from orlando due to stan van gundy. also, haslem isn't bad, hes pretty decent. i think he has some mid range jumper, which would help alot. haslem/hayes would be a good pf rotation to go with yao.

Sheed w/ his head on straight is the IDEAL PF next to Yao. He fits it perfectly IMO.
