Heck, at this point (before the draft and before the FA circus) I think we are in the position of Ripley in the first "Alien" near the end of the movie when she finds herself as a roommate with the alien on the escape craft pleading/praying/hoping: "Lucky....lucky....lucky....lucky."
Would they consider Battier a "3-4 type?" That would seem to indicate they would keep him, especially if the Battier trade was a Morley deal, as JVG asserted in his recent interview.
If a former drunk can run the "free world"....what is wrong with a pot head basketball player? At least hangover won't affect his play ala Barkley.

I failed to mention before that......regardless of his habits....I DO NOT WANT HIM ON THE ROCKETS.....we already have Bonzi to worry about.
I think that Battier is more of a 2-3 type than he is a 3-4. Don't misunderstatand the situation, the Rockets would love to keep Battier. It's by no means a case of them wanting to get rid of him. The issue is that he's their only real trade asset that a) they are willing to move, b) has value to other teams and c) makes enough money to bring back a player with a larger salary.
