Don't pick the best films, but instead choose your personal favorites...
    In no particular order.....
For me, I would have to go with.....

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly
    Pulp Fiction
    Goodfellas
    The Godfather
    Braveheart

    Honarable mentions go to:
    Glory
    Amadeus
    A Clockwork Orange
    Enter the Dragon
    Evil Dead 2

    Lawrence of Arabia
    The Big Lebowski
    Pulp Fiction
Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb

An impossible task. These were off the top of my head. There are several by Lean and Kubrick that I could have substituted for the two I listed. Not one western, and I love westerns. Unforgiven jumps out, as does The Searchers. So many great flicks. God, I love the movies. My father worked 2-3 jobs when I was a kid, when he was busy going to the University, teaching as well as taking classes. To get rid of stress, and because he loved the movies, we went about 3 times a week. Once or twice to one of the drive-ins in Houston, and on the weekend, to one of the Art Deco palaces Downtown, followed by chili dogs at the original James Coney Island, unless something good was playing at the Santa Rosa on Telephone Road. Good times...

    Braveheart
    Scent of a woman
    Real Genius
LOTR Trilogy though among them probably the 2nd because of the speech Samwise gives at the end of the movie. I like movies that inspire hope in others or are comedic.
The Big Lebowski probably as a fifth though that's not inspiring hope in anyone.

Pulp Fiction minus the buttrape scene, Reservoir Dogs, and Pecker as runner ups.

Also liked the Bourne movie series as they were really the first movies to set a tone for me in how a spy would really work. For that matter, the latest Bond movie as well.
