I just got my digital cable hooked up and I don't think they hooked up my NBA packafege. When I switch to the channels that are supposed to carry the games it says something like "access denied, call xxx-xxx-xxxx to have this installed". When I called to double check that the order was placed they said that it was already hooked up, but there were no games scheduled right now so I was getting that message. Can anyone confirm what I should see on the screen? I don't want to find out that it isn't hooked up 5 minutes before the game on Tuesday. Thanks.
You say "NBA Package". Did you specifically ask for "NBA League Pass"? I don't get an "access denied" message. On all League Pass channels, I see an NBA schedule of when the next games are supposed to be, what League Pass channel those games will be on, with "In Demand" on the upper right and "NBA League Pass" on the upper left.
one suspects if you are hooked up correctly you would see 10 guys running up and down a wooden floor trying to throwing an orange round rubber thing through a couple of baskets
You should've got a satellite. Don't know about cable, but I know with satellite they can hook you up instantly, so you wouldn't have to worry about missing any of the game if they screwed up initially. You could just call and they'd turn it on for you. Again, don't know if this is the case with digital cable though. I'd try to confirm anyway...basically everything I've just typed is probably pretty much useless.
First thing to do is Outlaw's suggestion. Reboot your cable box by unplugging it. Make sure all your connections are tight then plug the box back in. Don't do anything until the time shows up. Turn on the box and the TV. If you ordered League Pass, you should not have a "not authorized" or "access denied". You should be getting what DoD mentioned. On NBA1, I'm getting an advertisement for League Pass. Everyone with digital cable will get the games from Oct 30th - Nov 4th as part of a free preview. Don't be fooled into thinking its working. Call them up and have them resend your signal. I didn't get any preseason games until I ordered League Pass and since then its worked great. Remember to stay on the phone until it works or ask to speak with a supervisor
I'm going to have to invest in satellite if I move outside of Big 12 country. I need to watch my Longhorns.
Why bother? You're just gonna throw stuff at the screen while you cuss out Simms and Mack Brown. It would be fine, only you'll be doing it in.....2005.
I look forward to going on a drunk tirade against Mack Brown for pulling Matt Nordgren in favor of an east coast blue chipper
