a swap of Morrison for Sura's expiring would work straight up. the bobcats would basically be saying theyve given up on him if this were to go through.

    1. TMax for Hinrich and Ben Wallace (I've always considered him a PF). I htink the salaries match up, if not toss in a filler or something.

    2. Battier for Lewis in S&T

I know the salaries match and everything but...
Isn't Morrison's contract expiring too? Surely they could get more value for Morrison's expiring then a HIGHER expiring contract :)

Btw, since I mentioned the Bobcats, I had a deeper look into their current contract situation and roster and they could very well be a much stronger team next year...

It seems they ve been building very slowly and a lot of their moves worked out for them. And with some contracts expiring they could very well end up 20mill under cap in a year with a few very key FAs ....

Morrison's contract is not expiring. He signed a rookie contract last year, which was his first in the NBA. He was also a high lottery pick at that, and while he didn't live up to expectations, didn't fail miserably. The Bobcats have plenty of cap space and would probably keep a cheap talent like Morrison, who can still improve, than trade him for of what they already have, more cap space.

Just a thought but you guys dont see Adelman picking his old players up like Van Gundy did? Webber? Barnes? trade for Artest? Bibby?

Another thought was Mo Williams/ Ruben Patterson FA pickups.

We dont need another All Star but a solid forward who can score around 15ppg an grab about 10rpg. Moreover who would be our Play when Rafer is gone?

I honestly dont think that the Sonics are going to even consider trading Lewis für Battier. Shane is a SF, clearly the position they dont need after having Gelabale and picking up Durant.
Thay have Allen and his backup Wilkins. They habe Ridnour and his backup Watson and they have Wilcox and his backup Collison. What they really need is a center, since Swift has been injured all year long and Sene and Petro are cleary not ready to start.

We could give the Deke ;)

I agree. We don't need All Star we just need a solid rebounder, blocker and scorer

I just said we dont need an all star PF, but what about this trade:

    Houston Trade Breakdown
    Outgoing

    Juwan Howard
    6-9 PF from Michigan
    9.7 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 1.6 apg in 26.6 minutes

    Shane Battier
    6-8 SF from Duke
    10.1 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 2.1 apg in 36.5 minutes

    Luther Head
    6-3 PG from Illinois
    10.9 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 2.4 apg in 27.6 minutes
    Incoming

    Zach Randolph
    6-9 PF from Michigan State
    23.6 ppg, 10.1 rpg, 2.2 apg in 35.7 minutes

    Jarrett Jack
    6-3 PG from Georgia Tech
    12.0 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 5.3 apg in 33.5 minutes
Change in team outlook: +4.9 ppg, -0.4 rpg, and +1.4 apg.

    Portland Trade Breakdown
    Outgoing

    Zach Randolph
    6-9 PF from Michigan State
    23.6 ppg, 10.1 rpg, 2.2 apg in 35.7 minutes

    Jarrett Jack
    6-3 PG from Georgia Tech
    12.0 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 5.3 apg in 33.5 minutes
    Incoming

    Juwan Howard
    6-9 PF from Michigan
    9.7 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 1.6 apg in 26.6 minutes

    Shane Battier
    6-8 SF from Duke
    10.1 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 2.1 apg in 36.5 minutes

    Luther Head
    6-3 PG from Illinois
    10.9 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 2.4 apg in 27.6 minutes
Change in team outlook: -4.9 ppg, +0.4 rpg, and -1.4 apg.

Portland doesnt need Zach that much anymore since they will concentrate on Oden to become their no1 low post scorer.
    Portland:
    Oden, LaFrentz, Pryzibilla
    Aldridge, Howard
    Battier, Udoka, Miles
    Webber, Head, Jones
    Roy, Dickau

    Houston:
    Yao, Deke
    Randolph, Hayes
    McGrady, Snyder
    Wells, Spanoulis, Pick #26
    Jack, Alston

    Sounds good to me.

    12.0 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 5.3 apg in 33.5 minutes

    2007 Draft #01 Pick
    0-0 from
No games yet played in 2006/07
Change in team outlook: +17.7 ppg, +1.8 rpg, and +7.9 apg.

    Successful Scenario
Due to Houston and Portland being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Houston and Portland had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Do y'all think Austin Croshere is worth picking up as a Free Agent?

Also, Do you think there is anyway we could sign Anderson Varejao with the MLE?

There is no way thay give up Oden, Randolph and Roy man!!!!!!
They will not trade their pick, not even for Kobe!

Croshere is pretty much the same like Juwan, thats why we dont need him.
Varejao is solid young player but I would never give up the MLE for a center, we rather look for the 1 or 4.
