Can someone please explain this to me? Is Woods making that much of an impact? I believe they won 6 games.

Nope. Woods is only averaging 6.2 ppg, 3.8 rpg and 1 bpg in 17 mpg. What the reason is is that Minnesota is playing their starters like it's the regular season. Majority of the minutes were eaten up by Garnett, Billups, Smith, Szczerbiak, and new comer Trent. Gary Trent is impressive, averaging 7 ppg 5.3 rpg and exactly 1 bpg in 21.5 mpg. I still think the Rockets will be a better team then Minnesota this year.

Thanks for the response Rocks Millenium. That explains a lot.

I am not concerned with the Trent acquisition. It's a nice pickup for Minnesota, but Trent has serious defensive limitations at 6'7".

The Mavs are my second favorite team, and I was always frustrated watching trent 3 years ago. He doesn't have the lateral movement to guard small forwards or the quicker power forwards. Most power forwards can shoot right over him, and his offense is eratic at best. It also takes him considerable time to get off a shot.
