Just got back from the Caddy dealership. Wife and I have decided we are officially hold and since we have money, we are looking at a Cadillac DTS as a family car. Anyway, we've ALWAYS bought black cars and IMO, thats the best car color out there. She wants white. Are you kidding me? So alas, we left at odds and are trying to find a happy medium. What is your car color preference?
"The Customer Can Have Any Color He Wants So Long As It's Black". -- Henry Ford (I buy whatever I can get a good deal on as long as it's not ugly. I don't care for silver, tan, or blue cars, but most of the rest I'll go with.)
btw ....if you research it, you'll find that the silvers and grays of a particular model will always sell for less than the other colors can never figure out why
in houston best is white... hides the road dust and is cooler than any other color once you put tint on the windows.
Dust is beige..shows on white; shows on black. I always buy silver metallic...heat reflective, light reflective at night, fair on showing dirt (don't want a beige car) and dammit cars are made of metal they should be some shade of metallic. However, Cadillac's can look pretty good in yellow; in fact one of the best looking cars of all time was a 1977 Cadillac Seville yellow on yellow with a yellow Landau roof. I can't believe there isn't a good picture of one on Google. This pic does not come close to doing it justice: But here's a good vintage one:
White...disgusting. Black is fantastic, but some car models seem to lose styling and detailed accents in the dark color. If I didn't have a black car, I'd go with a dark silver/graphite/pewter color. I think they looks hot on a nice model. Take a new Mustang GT with 18" aluminum wheels in tungsten grey at night under lowlight/streetlight....SICK!
They're bland as hell and the most common colors. Look at all the mercedes sedans in the past 10 years that were some form of silver or gray.
