interesting story. so my friends are playing a pickup game of basketball at the sugarland mosque after evening prayers. anyway hakeem comes out after praying and decides to play a fun little pickup game with one of the guys. hakeem said the first one to three wins, and being the good sport that he is decided to let my friend have first possession. in the end my friend ends up beating the legend 3-2. granted hakeem took it easy, but its still something to tell all your friends about. afterwards hakeem spoke to the guys and gave them a few pointers about the game and life in general. love the guy. amazing human being. just thought id share
well, of course. its not like he suited up in the rocket red and yellow from the glory days. it was just a cute story so i though id share.
I once played on a p/up game with Shawn Kemp(5 on 5). He was on my team, got an assist on a great pass and my 18 foot J. Lots of fun and I got a camera-phone pic too. This was last year at a 24 in west Hou. Rather it be Hakeem
Heck, I'd wet my pants to be on the same court with Moochie Norris, yet alone Hakeem or even Shawn Kemp. You guys are really lucky.
obviously. i only mentioned that in my first 2 posts. salman hassan. he said a couple. yeah, i was bored at 2 am on a friday night so i decided to jump on a discussion forum and make up a story about hakeem having fun with some of the youngsters.
i was at the west side tennis club playing basketball about 5 yrs ago, steve francis was there and asked to borrow my ball and never gave it back. steve francis stole my ball it was a really good one too. never had the bawls to ask him about it though
If you think about it... he could of just hit a 3 to make it 2-0, miss, Hakeem scores twice in a row, misses game winner, friend makes a crazy jumpshot.
