Ok, one of my friends brother is graduating from college in the west coast. My friend has been hyping it up and said all of his brothers are going to attend. I envisioned alot of hot girls to meet and a good weekend to get drunk and have a good time. So my friend and I have been talking about me going also for the past couple of weeks and today I bought the plane ticket and made car and hotel reservations under my free point systems. Later tonight, the friend gives me bad news that one of the brothers who was told I was going made a big stink that it should only be the brothers going, the friend advised me to look into cancelling the flight. I called, customer service said that there is no refund, I can cancel it and there is a $100 change fee to another future flight valid for one year. I called up the friend and told him, he said he'll call up the brother to tell him I'm more then likely going also, I threw in also to him to tell the brother that I'm buying drinks the first night, kinda to grease the wheels. It's awkward cause I don't want to be around people who don't want me to be around, and this brother seems like he made a big stink. To add, I've never met the brothers but ironically the brother who made a big stink works in the same company I'm in.
If your friend really thinks it will cause a problem, he should give you the money to change the ticket in the future. Otherwise, he should tell the brother to forget about it.
Have you met the brothers? If not, i'm sure once they meet ya start talking about sports and whatever else they wont care.
Damn, that sucks... If they are really uncomfortable with you going, then your buddy needs to fork you the 100 dollar fee.
I'm not going to ask the friend for any money, mainly because I already know squeezing money out of him is as likely as getting milk out of a bull, lol.
Go to wherever you're going and hook up with a stripper. You'll have some sort of HIV maybe, but at least you can report back with a cool story.
the one brother would probably be an ass and ruin everything then, right? thats usually what brothers do when theyre together, there's always the one douche
Yeah, it seems that way with brothers, I guess I'm the brother that acts like the butthead when me and my brothers are together. Oh brother, the irony.
Lock it up. <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/ukSvjqwJixw"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/ukSvjqwJixw" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
HAHAHAHAHAHA somehow I feel this solves the dilemma. This should also help your brothers situation: <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/W91sqAs-_-g"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/W91sqAs-_-g" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
Since you have hotel, rental car and flight booked, are you going someplace that you could just turn into a little vacation for yourself? If so, just go and don't hang out with the brothers. Otherwise, just eat the $100 and move on. Don't try to insert yourself into the situation and try to make the best of it, that way lies badness.
