Loved Kerr as a player, hated him as an analyst/writer (for obvious reasons). I bet he won't do much though. What do ya think?

Well they need to get under the luxury tax so they'll have to deal someone so it'll be interesting to see what Kerr wants to do.

Now, will Kerr kiss Spurs' a$$ more or Suns' a$$ more?

Kerr is a smart guy though I don't know how well he will do in Phoenix. They missed their best chance this year and have salary dumping ahead of them.

One more member here of the never cared much of Kerr as a player and very much dislike him as an analyst.

There's really nowhere else to go from here with that Suns team but down. Kerr inherited a really good team. It's either the NBA finals or failure for this team. Good luck with that.

Great. Now I don't have to read his **** faced writings posted in the forums, and he can put his money where his mouth is when managing the Suns.

this is fantastic news for all of us. i don't know about his GM qualifications but atleast we don't have to read or listen to his sp*rs crap anymore.

i wonder if van gundy will take his spot next to albert next season.

His articles on Yahoo.com often had alot of mistakes and while he was opinionated, he didn't seem to be anything special. C-

Crap, and I was really starting to like the Suns this year. I'm glad he can stop being an analyst because he was a really awful writer and lacked basic logic skills.

Does this not seem kind of random to anybody else? I didn't know Kerr had any credibility in management and now with a great team like the Suns? Seems so out of the blue...

Kerr can't evaluate talent, at least based on his idiotic analyses on TNT, and he certainly can't manage/coach. It's a low-risk move though. Phoenix is still keeping a lot of their upper-level basketball operations guys, and if their current GM doesn't leave, this move won't really mean much.

D'Antoni is the GM right now so he isn't leaving for a while.

I didn't even click on this thread because I had NO IDEA this was Steve Kerr. I had no idea he had credentials to be an assistant coach, let alone a GM! This seems crazy to me, but I guess he can't do worse than some other GM's out there.

Steve Kerr sucked as a TV analyst and writer, and I think he will suck as a GM. I hated the guy's stuttering, glad he is getting out of TV, but that also means he may mess up the Suns roster with his idiot moves.
