I'm still not over the Oilers' choke jobs to Buffalo and KC in successive years. That was way more painful than a couple of "what if" years for the Rockets after they had already won two titles. Time does not heal all wounds.

I hate the Jazz as much today as I did then! I cant stop! I even hate their whine bag fans. I hate their owner, coach and entire team.....period!

OK, I am really not a bad person, I just hate the Jazz and cant wait till Jerry Sloan retires ringless just like Stockfag and Karla Maloon. :D

I second that. The only solace I take in the last 10 years of playoff futility is that there is very little videotape remaining of the Rockets playing in clown suits.

Don't you mean Denver? Maybe it's 3 years then.

Anyway, I stopped being an Oiler fan after the choke job. I think we all knew it was not just the end of a playoff run - but it was the end of the Oilers. I'm long over that. That was easy...how could anyone be an Oilers fan after that piece of work?

The one that hurt was the Sonics sweeping of the Rockets. After that, nothing was that big of a deal anymore.

Not Denver at all...up 10 at half time at the Dome and Marcus Allen goes crazy in the 2nd half and the Oilers choke to the Joe Montana Cheifs....after starting the year 1-4 and then winning the last 11 to get position 2 in the playoffs.

And yeah, I am still bitter.

    :D

I blame Clyde's r****ded ill-advised fade away jump shot that left 2.5 seconds for Utah.

We needed two points - had Clyde not scored there we would have lost the game. He did the right thing by tying the game.

You can't question that. Who would know that we could play Defense for 2.5 seconds.

I was at a Pavement concert the night of that ill-fated shot. They were playing the game on a big screen at Fitzgerald's in between acts and the screen went up just after Clyde missed the lay-up...we didn't get to see the shot. I assumed the Rockets won because they were up. The guys in Pavement made some comments about the game from the stage that got me worried and then it was all confirmed when I got home. That sucked. Oh well, we have two more rings than those Utah bastards!

Wow, Thats one of the only hardwoods I've ever seen that the "paint" wasn't a solid color and the outside was.

The second choke, against KC, actually hurt worse than the more publicized Buffalo choke job, because we were the best team in the league until the Buddy Ryan punch.
