Tmac is No. 1, Yao is No. 11 and S.B. is No. 31. Rockets just need a No. 21 who can create shots for himself. Rockets are just a 3rd scorer away from championship. He is not neccessary a point guard or PF. If this No. 21 is a SF/SG, then move T-mac to a part-time point guard. It's not only about position. When you have Yao-TM, position is not big deal. Yao-TM can always create mismatch. You just need update the talents around them.
Don't worry about bench, when you add a good starter, your bench becomes thicker.

Anyway, I believe Ron Artest is the only one Rockets have a realistic shot to generate a championship dynasty. His value is low now and not a lot teams are willing to take him. The contenders don't need the risks. The rebuilding teams don't need him to be the core. I think only Rockets, Heats and LA Lakers may try him. If Miami got him, they will at least win a couple of more and I think Rockets have to rebuild very soon :D .

Rockets just one 3rd option away. They have 5 best records in the League. All of the four teams aheading them are strong contenders. If Bonzi works well, this year's Rockets should win around 60 games. Never underestimate super-star's and coach's powers. Basically, in the playoff Rockets 2 superstars who were not fully healthy with one great roll player played with four all-stars and a couple of great role players in Utah. They took Utah to the 7th game and a couple of rebounds away to win.

Rockets are really close. Just add a No. 21.

Or we implode like Indiana and Sacramento after dealing with Artest. It isn't a matter of IF Artest is going to go off the deep end, but rather how long.

Timmy D has the right number, but I don't want his attitude in the Rockets locker room.

We had that 3rd scorer. His name was Bonzi Wells. JVG didn't care about winning and cared more about his personal grudge with bonzi instead.

we need a #21 and a #41 in the starting lineup. if we get that we will win 3 championships in a row.

    here's an idea:

make rafer and chuck change their numbers to 21 and 41 respectively. ;)

and did anyone else laugh at the thread starters moniker? i hope that was chosen for another meaning! lol

how about getting a 3rd scorer who is also a PG...2 birds...one stone. in all likelihood, we will address it via the draft. we need a 6th man off the bench like morris almond for when tmac or battier is resting.

That's what we need. I think our big power could be Bonzi Wells. He's pretty good scorer he can post up and rebound the ball well. Alston could be good playmaker if he stops shooting his stupid 3s. We don't have PF who can start. Chuck Hayes-are you kidding me? Juwan Howard - too old and now he can't even make wide open positions

Because we need both ! We need one to be a floor general and set up the game for the other players, yet can score when needed to do so.He would relieve Tracy to go ahead with his own game. (If he is still on the team) We need a third scorer who can go to the basket and put it in. This could also be our new starting Power Forward or could be an additional sharp shooting guard.
