signed. wish in one hand and sh*t in the other.

yes, there are no guarantees on either side, it would be nice if you realized that vspan is not guaranteed to be anything special.

sad thing is i was/am a big fan and think he can be good but this over the top blind faith that he is the saviour is just ridiculous. be realistic.

I have noticed. He has a couple of twins out there who also can't acknowledge other opinions and bashes anyone who has one different than his. If somebody starts a Badienne post, you'll see more come out of the wood-work.

Eh...it is what it is, I guess. I would like to see what V-Span can do this season. He showed some flashes this past season. I don't feel he's the solution to the Rocket's PG woes, but who knows? I think the bigger question is still going to be how the entire team adapts to RA's new offensive system, and how long the growing pains will be. It would be safe to assume now (IMO) that VSpan will be a part of that process.

funny thing is, i wouldnt be surprised if he does come out like wildfire next year and then these people will be schlobbing over adelman and saying "look...i told you"...meanwhile they completely ignore the idea that perhaps it was jvg who kicked his butt into gear.

I hate to be the bearer of (possibly) bad news but the way I read his blog it sounds like he doesn't want to come back.

    The important part is this:

"What I can say right now is that I've already made up my mind about what I really want and in the next few days everything will be cleared up. I'm bound by contract to the rockets so the team's opinion also plays a big part"

In greek as I read it it sounds more like a BUT in there i.e. "I wanna go BUT i'm bound by a contract so it depends on whether they'll let me"

It's really hard to say (the greek language is annoying like that) but that's how I read it.

Also, an article in greek press (not citing any sources though) said that Span will be playing for panathinaikos next year.

Als far as I know, Span will be training with the Greek NT over the summer so he'll definately miss part of the summer league, if not all of it.

Funny you should say that because Joe Dumars and the Detroit Pistons disagree with you 100%. Joe says winning games doesn't mean squat if you get kicked out of the first round so they played this year in preparation for the playoffs and not to break some league leading wins.

    Now this is funny.

I don't know how many people had kicked Vspan's butt, it must be many from Vspan's mom , uncles, to his buddies, but how do you know JVG's kick has the most contribution to Vspan's "gear"?

Does JVG's kick have other good effects: such as helping Vspan scores a pretty wife and having many kids? or world peace?

I think being turnover-prone is what cost Spanoulis with Van Gundy ... but being turnover-prone and not able to shoot is a bad combo with probably any coach. He'll likely get better with his turnovers... but how will his shot develop?

My main question is does V-Span have an NBA future? I had one person tell me he thought V-Span was a mistake by their scouts, but then you hear others like CD/Morey say they think he has a bright future. I don't know if any of us really know. He has made some great defensive stops and shown some flashes as a runner/penetrator/creator, but there are a lot of things he needs to work on.

Probably the most rational V-Span take I've read in months.

Not a VSpan fan but he's got more of a future than JL3.

He's quick with the ball, and if he can cut down his stupidity at times and shoot at a better clip (maybe practice the mid range game this summer), he might have a chance at being a poor Tony Parker next year.

I knew vspan never said he was tmac in greece literally, but all you damn haters and jvg lovers here always believe anything he spoon feeds you. JVG has no class and it's great that he's no longer the coach anymore, but I bet the vspan haters remain cause JVG's brainwashing doesn't go away that easily.

That is the short term way of thinking which was jvg's downfall. Perhaps you haven't watched the pistons this year in the playoffs and I wouldn't blame you cause they're super boring, but the commentators always talk about how the pistons sacrificed wins in the regular season in order to develop guys. They didn't want another early playoff flameout, so spent the season working on having a rotation cause you will need one come playoff time. JVG never had a long term vision and that is one of many reasons why he's out.

I still think we should trade TMac for V Span.

I think its painfully obvious by now that TMac will never be like TMac so might as well use VMac.
