Our early exit in this playoff is a disaster to the Rockets Marketing department despite of their hard efforts of promoting this franchise in the past year. Many fans are angry and disappointed. It is not easily remedied by another 50 Red Rowdies season tickets from JVG. Sometime I think Les care less about championship when it comes to box office. The conversation with Clyde may be true but this is so obvious a pretence (vocab??) to distract the reporters in the press conference. "Clyde's Endorsement" may sound stupid to you, so what if JVG also told Les that Coach Adelman "would be a great candidate"? These gentlemen are just revealing to the public comments that in favour of their decisions/the outcome.

The overwhelming media coverage of Dream-Yao training session, hiring Rick Adelman (aka entertaining basketball) -> eye-catching events -> so much relieves after the knock-out.

Drexler the broadcaster is not the best, but he is far from terrible -- obviously he blurts out things during the course of a game that are off the mark.

I think in this case his opinion was welcomed, but there is no way it was the deciding factor. The steps to bring in Adelman were made long ago -after- JVG declined the extensions.

He'd have pulled them down with one hand, and we'd be playing San Antonio right now. Yeah, an Otis Thorpe would be awesome on this team.

There's probably a lot to this. Its not like Alexander would be talking about conversations that he had about Adelman that were negative.

As far as Clyde's comments I don't think this is just happy talk as Clyde had his best years under Adelman and probably feels he owes a lot to Adelman. This is far from him filling in airtime with positive blather about Rockets players on a Houston Rockets broadcast.

I don't get the vitriol Houston fans have in their pro sports owners. I guess the hate from losing has to go somewhere.

As to how classy Les is, who ****ing cares? As long as he's willing to spend and bring in good talent, then he can attend crossdressing conventions with Marv Albert and Guiliani for all I care.

He treated Jeff's exit raw, but this was the guy who offered extensions to him midseason and right after they got bounced. This doesn't sound like an egomaniac willing to poison the well because he doesn't like how his coach acts.

It's a long postseason, so flame away.
