Dylan's vocals now = growls + whispers. Don't expect Last Waltz stuff.

And if you don't like Bjork, God help you. That's like hating the Shangri-Las or Beatles or something.

If you get too hot, find a hot girl at the beer stand and have her throw cups of the icy water from the beer tubs at you. Good times.

Agreed. Humidity is a big factor. Houston is like Corpus christi, imo.

Austin is relatively dry. Maybe Houston leads Austin in heat index.

I'm the exact opposite. It's that dry, sunny heat that kills me. I can go out in the shade in near 100 percent humity and exercise with no problems. I actually prefer it.

The dry air gives me nose bleeds and keeps me awake at night with allergies.

Dallas is the worst. It is BRUTAL in the summer.

Hey. Anyone know if it's possible to get a 1-day pass? It looks like they don't offer it on the website. However I was looking around and it appears they've done it in previous years. Thanks.

I think they usually start selling them later, probably once the schedule is released. That way you can decide which bands you can see on each day.

I want to say about a month or so before the festival starts. Don't quote me on that though.

Thanks guys. Sorry to keep asking questions; but are these kinds of things usually available? This is going to be a gift for someone (the occasion is coming up), so I don't want to assume I can get the passes and then find out they'll be sold out right off the bat. Does ACL usually sell out?

Yes, it usually sells out, but if you're on top of things (sign up for the ACL newsletter) you shouldn't have a problem getting a one day pass as long as you get them soon after they're released.

Maybe just different strokes for different folks? I didn't realize people had to justify their reason for liking certain music.

BTW, you're a moron. Your post is the reason. How's that?

I've never been to something like this, but this year is a possibility. Looks like I can still get tickets, so I'm just gonna try to start saving fast. If I don't get the 3 day pass, I'll just try to do the one-day thing when the schedule's released. I'm a huge Killers fan. I just want to hear "Read My Mind" live. Also my friend's a big Amy Winehouse fan.

How much are the one day passes normally?

Oh yeah, I heard rumors that they're going to try and sneak up on all of the heterosexuals.

one day passes are going to be about 50 bucks. you can get them for a little less but you have to do some searching on craigslist.

Apparently, it's all good if you have a seat between you.
