LOL - no, he is a white guy from Marist....who may go undrafted.

But, the author really likes the way he controls the tempo of a game and his passing sounds really good too.

Might be worth a 2nd round pick to find out.

I haven't seen the guy, but it doesn't seem like he has much shooting ability. This year, he shot under 70% from the free throw stripe and under 30% from college 3. No clue how he is defensively. Sounds more like Luke Ridnour than Nash to me (not that that's a terrible thing -- and even then, Ridnour's not a bad shooter).

I did catch some Rudy Fernandez on NBATV throughout the year, and he impressed me a lot. Slithery moves, great court awareness.

we dont need a PG that can shoot(per say)... we need one who knows how to handle the ball...pass the ball... and get to the hoop...(ie if he has to shoot... then shoot a layup)

if he can get Yao those easy baskets, like Nash gets Amare, and Marion

and take off the pressure from Tmac having to do everything...

then I say take him... at 26th pick... if he is still around...

if we get another Rafer like pg who likes to launch those 3's

    with a shoot first mentality...

then Im thinking...might as well go for a PF for our 26th pick...

and keep Rafer at the helm....

Nash can get Amare easy buckets because defenders have to be honest and fear his scoring abilities. We need a PG who can shoot.

Ill agree Steve Nash has always been a good shooter (except his first year when he shot .222)(note to Vspan haters)

but lets face it... Nash is not known for his ability to shoot the lights out... its his ability to pass the ball even when you know the probabilities are high he will on most any given play...

what made player like Wayne Gretzgy the greatest hockey player ever... wasnt that he could score goals (he still holds record for most goals in a season)

was the fact that Gretzgy(all time assist leader) was able to assist other players in scoring goals... he had the ability to see players and where the play would end up ahead of time... and pass to that player at the right time to score...

thus not only making himself great... but another player great too...

im not saying this guy will be the Gretzgy of Bball or even Nash of Bball...

but for the 26th pick... we need a instant homerun hitter...but have to take that risk to do so...

playing safe will get us another.. Luther Head...

add that to the fact.... its a forgone conclusion we wont have any big trades or any big name free agents come over to this team next season....

Wrong (on the numbers -- Nash has been an unreal shooter with a one year exception). Go take a look at the numbers again, chief.

I don't know what you know him for, but Nash's ability to score at an unbelievable efficiency is a big part of what makes him special, just like Stockton was.

Plenty of great passers fail because they can't do other things...otherwise, Ed Cota and Doug Gottlieb would probably be in the NBA today.

And putting yourself in the situation where you think the 26th pick has to be a homerun hitter is a huge mistake...you're likely to strike out.

Not a fact and not a foregone conclusion.

Yeah, I was just talking about taking a flyer on him in round 2.....but we don't have a pick so maybe pick him up as a FA and send him to the NBDL....

He is my pick, I love the guy, and he would allow Tmac to go to his more natural 3 spot, of course we would then be looking to move Battier for a PF or PG...but that is ok too.

Since when is T-Mac a natural 3. He has always been a 2. He only played SF cause we had an undersized log jam of swingmen (Wesley, Barry, Bogans, Head, Sura) None of them could play that position. And where would that leave Shane, off the bench?? Him at PF isn't an option either, that experiment failed and was quickly dismissed during the early part of the season.

    As for Rudy F.

I love the fact that he can play point, and his flaws can be worked on.

    My picks

PG - either Gabe Pruitt, Rudy Fernadez, or Javaris Crittenton(though he'll likely go higher)

    or

PF - Sean Williams or Jason Smith

Since both big men are gonna go before us, might as well look at either Pruitt or Rudy.

NOT SOLD ON BELLINELLI AND JOSH MCROBERTS SUCK!!!!!!

He never shot 22%. You're looking at his playoff numbers. Look again.

    This is just silly.

    1. No team is allowed to talk to any of these guys, so no one has "put their hat in in the ring".
    2. Trade season has not begun.

    kiera knightly.

i mean... i think almond would be a great fit. he has size and athleticism to go along with a great jumper. drafting him would put luther on the trading block which packaged with anyone like sura, rafer, howard should land up something good.

there are always indications and write ups talks... about possible teams in the running... and we are never in them...
heck we havent even got close to either a good trade or a good free agent in 4 years... other than Bonzi...(with his 1 good playoff series) and thats because he had nowhere else to go....this year

    1. Those are from bored writers. They mean nothing. Adelman and Morey have both said they want to add talent, that means something.

    2. We were close to Mike James this year, and got Bonzi. We got Stromile Swift the year before, along with Derek Anderson. The Rockets have ALWAYS done an outstanding job being a player for guys considering the MLE, going back to Mo Taylor and Shandon Anderson and before.

The only player who has been a constant in the last 4 years has been Yao...to accuse this team of not being active in making moves to try and improve the team is sheer lunacy.

please... Mike James, Bonzi, Stromile, Anderson...

change the names, and bring in players of the same skill level and we still wont win a Championship...

we need player(s) with skill levels of Billups, Lewis, Carter...

And you don't get those players with the MLE. (excecpt Detroit did with Billups initially, but that is perhaps the greatest MLE signing of all time, after that he blew up.)
