Will you be more likely to go to a game if the Rockets have a more up-tempo style?

Let's assume the Rockets are winning as much next season as they did this season. Would you buy more tickets next year just because the rockets are playing a more fluid, quicker and proficient offense?

Right but assuming if they are winning as much as they did this last season. Would you be more likely to go to a game?

    Probably about the same likeliness.

But I made it to almost all Texans games so I can take punishment.

I'm a fan of whatever type of basketball the Rockets are playing at the moment. Especially if they're winning.

I truly enjoyed watching the defense suffocate other teams for long stretches, and I truly loathed watching the offense suffocate itself for the same period of time.

Assuming they're winning at roughly the same clip next year, they can't have both ends working great at the same time - otherwise there'd be a lot more wins involved.

So, if we flip it 180, I'll love watching the offense do its thing and loathe watching the defense give it right back.

But I'll be cheering for the Rockets just the same...

I root for all Houston teams. Texans games are easier to go to because they are on Sunday. I get the 14 game pack for the Rockets every year, but usually miss some of the regular season games then go to most all the playoff games.

I am probably buying season tickets this year after skipping 2 years in a row. It's not all about the coaching style but alot of it is.

I'm a Rockets fan, I couldn't care less what offense they run. Rudy's offense at times was boring and predictable - I guess a lot of these guys would've skipped out on those championship rings. Ultimately nobody's going to complain about an offensive or defensive style if the team wins... amazing how that works. ;)

Well I can't go to the Toyota Center cause I live in Poland. But I would love to see great quick Rockets' offense when I'll be watching games live

I tried to get tickets to as many games near me as I could this year... so it makes no difference to me what the tempo is. In reality, if anything an uptempo offense will likely make it more difficult for me to get tickets to those games. Hopefully my connections in Detroit, Cleveland and Indianapolis will keep working for tickets for me. :)

I voted no cause I'm a fan of the team, not the tempo or the coach. I'd go to the same amount of games regardless of the "style".

Nobody complains about style when the team wins a title. And everybody complains, no matter what the style is, when a team doesn't make the playoffs (with a few exceptions, like very young teams). But when your team wins about 50 and you could argue it should have done a little better or a little worse?

That's when style matters more to most people.

Actually nobody complains about anything when a team wins a title. lol.

I would argue that among most fans, the difference between a few wins and losses in a 50-win team (with major injuries throughout the season to its stars) is not sytle... but talent. Add upgraded talent, not revamp the entire style of the team would be the cry. A combined style and talent change is usually reserved for teams who have no hopes of competing for those 50+ wins.

Actually I was thinking about start a thread wondering what the bbs would have been like during the champ years. Like the Horry trade for Sean Elliott. The losses to Phoenix at home. The Thorpe trade. Maxwell leaving the team. I don't think it would have been pretty. As much as clutchfans kicks butt, I am kind of glad I got to experience those years without the negativity that can be found here.

or if you think your team topped out at 52 wins with realistically no hope for improvement.

55+ wins should be our goal next season with the right player movements in the offseason.
