http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=aw-blazers052407&prov=yhoo&type=lgns Of all the teams with lottery picks the Bucks would seem like the perfect trade partner. They have zero PG's signed and their franchise center has been telling the media he wants a good PF next to him. The Bucks are also under the cap so can absorb salary in a trade.
You really don't think Oden could be one? Especially with the centers in the NBA today...and it's not like Portnalnd has better at the C.
The franchise center that the original poster was referring to was Andrew Bogut, not Oden who certainly fits that bill.
Every GM in the league knows that Randolph has negative value. They are not getting another high pick without parting with Aldridge, the writer might not realize it but it is true.
beggars can't be choosers. most lotto teams would be willing to take on a 20-10 player for thier pick. he's not worth a high lotto pick but definitely mid-late lotto. randolph is still pretty young. he's a ball hog but to be honest there isn't that much else on that team in terms of go-to guys. i think they will be able to land conley as long as his stock doesn't rise too high.
The problem is that Randolph is also a timebomb off the court. These teams in the lotto would lose more fans having Randolph than not having him. Whoever said Zach has negative value is right.
i dissagree. teams will lose fans when they approach next season knowing they will not make the playoffs yet again. losing loses fans. winning brings them back. is zach a guy people can like off the court? probably not. i don't understand why fans only like guys who they think they can be friends with. i don't care if my favorite team employs players who punt puppies through goal posts. as long as the team wins i'm happy. as far as i know zach hans't missed a game due to legal reasons. as long as he's able to play everynight and help the team win, teams will want him.
Danny Ainge could easily be convinced to trade his pick for Jarret Jack. After all, Portland felt Jack was better than Telfair so they could tell Ainge he would be upgrading the position. That would sell in Boston, right? "This year we traded for the guy that was beat out the guy we traded for last year!!!!!!"
