bonzi has also never turned down a 36 million dollar contract to have to settle for basically a 1 year 2 million dollar deal. it's become clear if it wasn't already he was discontented about that from the beginning. he missed multiple days during training camp got hurt and never got himself into shape. he freaking chose to quit on the team by a text message. do you not understand that?

did you even watch the games? are you that delusional in your jvg hate that you think you saw the sacramento bonzi out there in a rockets uniform? seriously? the fat guy with absolutely ZERO explosion.

it's absolutely mind-boggling how twisted this logic is that defends what bonzi did last year.

OK so if Bonzi comes in and plays like the Bonzi from every other team next year are you going to change your stance and stop thinking JVG is with out guilt or blame as far as Bonzi's performance as well as our teams offensive performance as a whole?

Are you going to change your stance if he doesnt? Bonzi overcame his shortcommings (IQ) from the beginning because of his freakish athaletism. Age and laziness has taken over the physical part of his game. He is now nothing more than a washed up mental case. Now if he by some act of god decided to prove himself ready to accept resposibility and get himself into fantastic shape and show some dedication to working out, he might be what you and alot of others here are claiming he is or could be.

If Bonzi had come in in shape and ready to play like a dedicated and responsible professional should, do you really think Gundy would of not played a talent like that? Bonzi is soley responsible for the year he had not Gundy

bonzi chose to not get in shape and not make the most of the time he was given. let's not pretend that he wasn't given opportunity to do something on the court.

now is it possible that bonzi didn't get in shape because he didn't like jvg? certainly. but as a grown ass man getting paid millions of dollars, it's his job as a professional to act like one. why is he being defended given everything we know about the situation? jvg held him accountable for his actions and he chose to respond by quitting.

i don't expect bonzi to be here next here but it wouldn't shock me at all if he busted his butt and got in shape for adelman. but that's on bonzi again. this isn't adelman vs. jvg or jvg vs. bonzi. this is bonzi vs. bonzi. he controls his future and the money he makes just like he did last season. he chose to ignore his conditioning and mope last summer. lets see if he wises up this summer.

Let's hope bonzi comes back. Would be great news. I don't blame bonzi for anything that happened last year as that was all on jvg and his personal grudge against bonzi. With adelman in place, bonzi will thrive here next year if he comes back. Get it done!

I hope he comes back(on his present contract) also. However I can guarentee you that if he comes back in the same shape and with the same attitude as he did this year, he will again thrive on the bench!

I hope Bonzi means it this time. I think he can turn things around with a former coach of his who gave him a chance. Bonzi can be the third option the Rockets have been missing the past few years.

I guess you missed all the games he played in last season. Deke looked more athletic than ****** Bonzi. After three or four trips down the floor he wa breathing like he just got through running a marothon.

I hope bonzi comes back, but it better be on his current contract. No team can save face by letting a player come in, be out of shape, get injured over and over, stay out of shape, quit on the team, and then be awarded with a raise.

JVG had nothing to do with Bonzi coming in, out of shape. Whether JVG handled the situation properly is a while different debate. But, JVG certainly had cause to demand excellence from someone acting like a spoiled knucklehead. JVG demanded championship caliber of everyone. Even Rick, who knows Bonzi well, continues to state in his interviews, that he'd love to have Bonzi back, but only if he gets in shape.

Bonzi wasn't in shape because he was so dispirited about how he and his agent handled losing more than 20 million dollars. He had a hard time taking responsibility for making the wrong moves. Getting a big head cost him the money in bad negotiations to begin with, and he never made the adjustment, which cost him this last year, perhaps his career.

If Bonzi decides to change his atitude, and not view himself as the victim, and decides to prove his excellence, even if its to get a good contract, then perhaps he can be of some value to this team. But, that's a big "if."

We're dealing with the same stuff with VSpan. It's not their talent, it's what's going on in their heads, and the entourage who fill their minds up with ego crap, instead of humble reality. We have humble superstars on this team. Role players with big egos won't fit.

Wow - I could not disagree more on this point here.

Our superstars are too humble, and because of this the role players need to provide the energy or attitude that this team needs to succeed.

Someone needs to be this team's Mario Elie/Bob Sura........and it ain't gonna come from Tmac and Yao.
