I'm listening to the radio now for updates, but my bud called me and said that he heard on SR610 that Bibby called Adelman and said he will happily take a pay cut to come to Houston to win a championship. I'm going to have to listen to this for myself, so don't shoot the messenger.
Bibby ain't opting out of his contract, because no one will pay him what sacramento is obligated to pay. get over it. he's not bonzi or spreewell.
So wait your buddy heard this on SR610 or you have heard it as well? I don't believe it until someone on the message board heres it for themselves as a legit rumor.
Im not suprised, Bibby and Ron Ron are not the best of friends. It would not suprise me if he wanted out. Bibby had his best years with Adleman I could see him wanting to follow him.
Could Bibby go to Sacremento and say he is willing to opt out of his contract unless they trade him to Houston? Sort of like Tmac did a couple of years ago? Would that force the Maloofs to have to make a less than ideal deal for him? Of course that would require that Bibby is serious about taking a massive pay cut and willing to sign for the MLE if the Maloofs balked at him. Wow - this could be a way more fun off season than I hoped. DD
I think Sac would love for him to opt out. He's the one who has no interest in walking away from a contract that is bigger than he is worth.
"Bibby with the entry pass to Yao.....easy two!......" That would be a wish come true! Make it happen DM!
Can someone...ANYONE please give a confirmation that this is accurate and WAS ACTUALLY reported on 610, por favor? No offense, but if this is inaccurate, we all need to know so we can eliminate this rumor here and now.
Correct me if Im wrong. But I was under the impression the Kings wanted him to opt out becasue of the large amount of money he is still owed on his contract.
Do you think so? They would like to lose an asset and get nothing in return? I mean they could pick up an expiring Sura contract, another expiring contract next year in Juwan and maybe some filler and a draft pick. That would be better than nothing, right? I think Bibby only has 2 more years left, are the Kings in the Lux tax at all? DD
I think Clutch should lock this up. I just looked on RealGM and a poster there wrote something about this. Maybe my friend read that and didn't listen to SR610 after all. Lock it up until further notice. Courtesy of nsballer07 on RealGM.
If they got something of value maybe they'd like it, but I think they'd be thrilled if he just opts out and goes away. It isn't like they want him back next year. If they could work a trade that they liked, they'd probably due it, but I don't think anyone wants Juwan on their team.
But if he just opts out they get instant cap relief with out haveing to take back any bad salaries or any dead weight that takes up roster spots.
