I think onssoo is anticipating a video of a second workout if and when there is one.

I thought there was only going to be the one workout, but I could be wrong.

In the interview video that Hilltopper posted they seemed to think there may be more just not sure when. I think Yao even asked Hakeem when when reporters asked. Hakeem mentioned in the Chronicle that "today was just basic footwork" or something similar to that. Of course we could be reading too much into it.

The Chronicle said they hadn't scheduled one but both parties were eager and willing, so I'd expect at least one more before Yao goes to China.

The only complication is whether or not Yao gets toe surgery--he has appointments this week to see if he needs it.

Even when Yao does go to China though, he said he would use national team games to practice the moves dream had taught him in game situations. The technique training with dream plus the practical training with the national team could be the best of all worlds.

I had a choice I would put Yao, Dream, Yao's strength coach and a couple of lackeys to defend Yao in a basketball monestary for the summer, and forbid yao from leaving until he can snatch a pebble from Hakeem's hand while doing a dream shake...but maybe that's just me.

Definitely no workout today (May 23,USA time), or else, news and photos will have come out already here in China as I am posting right now morning of May 24 China time.

Yao Ming had reiterated times and again, since he had relatively no heavy national team commitment this summer, he's gonna stay for another 2 ~ 3 weeks in Houston, before he goes back to China in mid/late June to rejoin the national team training in Beijing, and then attend the FIBA Basketball Without Borders Asian Camp in Shanghai (July 5 ~ 8).

Then he will be back to USA, as the national team will be in USA mid July for the NBA summer league. IMHO, he may not play in the summer league, but will stay with the team.

Then after the NBA summer league, the national team will be travelling back to China to participate in The 3rd FIBA Stankovic Continental Cup in Hangzhou and Zhengdu July 28 ~ August 2.

Then the natioal team will convene an European tour in August (There will be at least 2 4-Nation tournaments during this trip; one in Germany; one in Turkey, which Yao Ming had promised he will play, as there will be chances for the national team to play against some strong European power houses, like Germany, Italy, Spain, France, Slovenia, Lithuania, Serbia & Montenegro, Greece and Turkey.

So if any more workout sessions are to be held, it could be either in the next 3 weeks before Yao Ming returns to China, or during July, when he returns with the national team for the summer league.

But agian it is contingent on the schedule of the Dream and Big Yao.

Actually Yesterday he said he would probably play in a few games to stay in shape and practice what Hakeem taught him.

On a more personal note. How do you feel about Yao working with Hakeem.

i got a text message from my friend at 5.15 PM that Hakeem was at Lifetime fitness in Sugarland today, so i doubt that Yao and him had their workout (the first one was at the TC).
