NO WAY for 3 mils per. My guess is 6+ mil per. Adelman should get more than JVG's contract. Rick Adelman is not that cheap. I think his last contract with Kings is 7-8 mils per.
i agree...he averaged 25/10 this year. he was averaging 26.5 points and 9.7 rebounds per game when he went down with the injury. i'm sorry, but i don't see us getting much more production out of yao then that. and frankly, i believe if you move him away from the basket his production will drop.
Hopefully you "balance and up-tempo" people are right and Adelman has the "magic fingers" to get this current squad into the next level.
I hope Les and Morey asked Adelman if he was a vicious capitalist in his interview. We can't have one of those running around here again.
It's Les's money, but if it was me for $25M I would have wanted to test drive a few more cars. Now lets see what Morey Adelman can do in getting some talent on this team.
I doubt Adelman will bring in a guy who right off the back wants his job. Ellie is a hometown favorite, but he's still got a lot of work to put in before he gets a head coach job. Welcome Adelman! Lets see if Yao can still pass the ball and hit a shot from more than 5 ft away.
I can't believe people are thinking we actually have a shot at players like Bibby, Billups, or Ron Artest. Just because he previously coached 2 of the 3 players, I guarantee they care more about the money, than they do returning to their previous head coach. I too am looking forward to seeing how Adelman will run this team.
Have any of Adelman's ex-players actually come out and praised the guy? I really have no clue if they have or not... the days leading up to JVG, all we heard was about how loved he was by his ex-players. Not that it matters anyways... nobody is coming to play here for free.
Its time for some major changes and Rockets bench to start playing some bball. Is this an upgrade? Do not know... time will tell. I did wanted to give JVG one more chance
