The Rockets season is done, and regular season baseball bores me to tears. I went to Mets-Yankees on Saturday and quite literally fell asleep in the first. It was raining and cold and I left in the 6th, after a miserable ride on the 7 train out to nasty ass Shea. Regular season baseball just doesn't do it for me. What else, horse racing? Nascar? Jazz-Spurs WCF (vomit)? Ottawa Senators? This is the time of suck for sports fans.
I just posted in the torture thread that the period of time between the Rockets elimination from the playoffs and the beginning of football season is torture. I love my Astros, but I don't know what I'd do if that was the only game in town. I can't watch baseball if it's not the Astros. I need football season to start ASAP.
good point. im also watching more shows and movies. sports aren't doing it for me right now. I was actually watching hockey in HD before I hit myself with the remote and came back to life.
The EPL is finished and Champions league is over Wednesday. MLS compared to real football is WNBA compared to NBA.
i hear ya. but if you have a rooting interest, it's great. i love watching the dynamo play. but it's baseball first and foremost for me...so i'm all good until november. then rockets start up and i'm all good again.

That's a pretty ignorant statement, but whatever. La Liga (IMO a better league than EPL) still has 3 weeks left; plus Gold Cup, Copa America, the World Youth Championships, and two rounds of Euro 2008 qualifying are all coming up in June. Also Copa Libretadores is still going on for a few more rounds. Plus various other leagues that are still going and other competitions. But go ahead thinking that there's not going to be any soccer since the EPL season is over.
Aussie Rules Football is in full swing right now, you can find it somewhere amongst the plethora of cable channels
