back in the 90's i would have said he.....double hockey sticks no! but this group of guys plays hard doesnt talk $hit and can downright play. now that malone, stockton, and horny are gone i think i can root for them, unless they play the spurs. i root for my state (and hip checkin horry :D )first, unless mark cuban is your owner!

I will never root for the Jazz. I have a hard time watching them play because I still get angry. I think the Spurs are more well put together than the Jazz and I would much rather root for the Spurs!

Anyone who even considers rooting for the Jazz should be banned from this site.

I hope there are about 6 broken legs this series, that is about all I can say.

watching this game is tough - i hate both teams, but right now i think i hate the spurs more b/c of bowen and the horry cheap shot.

    HELP ME!!!

many years ago i swore an oath to hate the jazz for the rest of my life, no matter what and i shall not break that vow, but as far as im concerned the spurs are not legitimate if they win - stoudamire should not have been suspended. this series was wrapped up and given to the spurs by stern - christmas in may!

there will always be a question hovering over them or an astrix as phil jackson says.

as for bowen - i am trying to rationalize it this way - i hate the jazz mainly b/c they are coached to play dirty and intentionally try to hurt people. well bowen is doing just that. i just dont want to see people who play like that win.

it might be time to approach our jazz hatred from a more strategic standpoint. can we root for the jazz in this series and go back to the righteous path and root for them get hammered by detroit. face it, if s.a. gets to the finals they will more than likely win again and it will most definitely be another bore of a series. detroit would have a much better shot against utah.

if i am banned for suggesting such a thing i totally understand - i need help!

I will NEVER under any circumstance EVER root for the Jazz. I hate them more than any other franchise in the NBA. And it's not just b/c of this season... actually this bunch is a little more tolerable than Malone/Stockton/Hornacek/Russell. But they definitely passed down their dirty playing, flop laying, goofy ass style....

The only exception would be if it has a direct positive effect on the Rockets (like if we need them to win to get in the playoffs or improve our seed or something). And even then I won't root for them, I'll just cheer for the other team to lose... :D

Talking about history, uh? forget it!

it's a fact that Rox inclines to mentally crashed in critical time. In some senses, JVG is just scapegoat for lost. I don't think his leave would make significant difference in new season.

Sadly but honestly, Jazz play tougher than us in mental game, they deserve a W in Game7.

    jo mamam;

Let me help you. Yes, Bowen is dirty and yes Robert Horry cheap shot cost the Suns the game. While those are travesties they didn't happen to the Rockets!

Now all things being equal perhaps the 2007 Spurs are dirtier than the 2007 Jazz but I'm willing to admit I harbor enough Rocket bias that I weigh flopping against the Rockets to be much worse than cheap shots against the Suns.

So I am not rooting for Jazz..

thanks. i am not rooting for the jazz, but i am rooting for the spurs to NOT win the title and if they beat utah its as good as theirs.

a spurs win effects me on a personal and professional level. i live in austin, but work in san antonio a couple days a week - my job has me driving all around town collecting data and i spend most of the day in my car listening to sports radio or npr. so i have to listen to spurs talk and all the ignorant and clueless fans all day.

despite the fact that 90% of the country thinks that bowen is dirty, the bias-spurs homers call in defending him and on the rare occasion that someone admits that he might be dirty the radio hosts play a little baby crying whenever people complain about bowen. the fans there have absolutely no objectivity and most of them dont know ANYTHING about b-ball - most people in s.a. didnt give a crap about the spurs (or basketball) till they started winning rings and now everybody thinks they are an expert on par with dick vitale.

i had to listen to a segment a few months ago where the two afternoon sports chumps were making a list of their top 10 mvp candidates and not only was duncan in there, but parker and ginnobili too (numbers 8 and 9). they were seriously arguing that they were legit and that the national media just doesnt give them respect.

when malik rose got traded the city was in an uproar - people were calling in furious and many were actually CRYING - over an overpaid backup to tim duncan - they traded a garbage time player for a starting center and yet they were irate - popovich actually had to do damage control and came on sports radio as well as 1200 to take calls - he was clearly annoyed as people were really going off on him.

people call in all the time crying about how the spurs dont get any national attention. and they can never admit when they loose a game to a better team. it is ALWAYS that the spurs beat themselves. they just have such a sense of entitlement that it makes me sick.

you are entirely correct, but this has nothing to do with our jazz hatred. if you became a fan when yao or t-mac came along than you just dont understand, but you must accept.
