It's actually more interesting to read what the Kings fans were saying when Adelman was fired.... some parallels with Rockets fans and Van Gundy.

I would be more than happy if Adleman can improve Rockets to #2 in their division.

Umm, you do know we had the 5th best record in the NBA? Cleveland sure as hell is not better than us.

Rockets were #4 in the West and #5 overall. Even playing against other sh!tty EC teams, only one team from the east had a better record than the Rockets, and that was Detroit. That is with Yao missing 32 games.

Were gonna see alot of passing, cutting and crisp movement off the ball. emphasis will be on passing. the more i think about it, the more i'm liking it. The kings did'nt run the floor like the suns, but they played extremely creative halfcourt offense. there was alot of open shots as the result of lots of crisp passing and smart off the ball movement.i can see Individuals like Battier , McGrady and yao thriving in those circumnstances due to there high BBall IQ's... rafer however?.. oi.... :(

I agree with Blazerben thats how I remember the Kings in their prime.

    Vlade
    CWebb
    Peja
    Christie
    Bibby

w/ several pretty good players coming off the bench (BJackson, JBarry, etc)

Yao playing the high post ala CWebb / Vlade (helping to direct traffic)
TMac playing the Bibby role knocking down midrange shots
LHead our long range specialist like Peja (except shorter)
SBattier would fill the DChristie role (defensive specialist)
KSynder could also be a great defender / slasher

I am getting pretty excited to see what a new offensive minded coach could do with the pieces we have in place.

SNovak? We had so much hope for him at the beginning of the season.

    it will be interesting.

Amen we are a half court team but now we will be a good offensive halfcourt team may run a little more but it will not be as important because we will get good shots in our halfcourt offense, sound familiar(Utah). Our defense will suffer slightly but our offense will improve greatly. By the way didn't Rick Adelman play for the Rockets, don't welcome him all at once.

Actually, Divac got plenty of low-post looks because he was a skilled low-post center even as a Laker and a Hornet. Webber a bit less so, even in his prime he liked to show off his dribbling on the top of the key. Miller was the one who is the most high-post heavy of the bigs becasue... well... he kinda sucks in the low post.

I expect Yao to be used more like Divac and less like Miller. We'll see Yao move around a bit more, but don't expect him to abandon the paint.
